| How do I publish
to Grades Online? |

In order to provide students and/or parents
with access to your class information on Grades Online, you will
need to supply them with their Start Keys and accompanying
passwords. Each student added to your Gradebook will have
his/her own Start Key and password (as will their parents)
generated automatically by Web Educator.
· You can find these
Start Keys by logging into Web Educator then clicking on Web.

To print handouts listing individual Start Keys and passwords
for students, click on Print.
· To print or view Start Keys and
passwords of parents, click on the Parents tab. To print a
handout for a particular student or set of parents, click on the
Print icon for that specific student (on the line containing the
specific student's name, the print icon is at the end of the
line located next to the circular arrow icon).
· The handouts
will contain instructions on how students and parents can get
started with Grades Online. If you need to change the Start Keys
and passwords for all students or parents, click on Randomize.
If you need to only change the Start Key for a particular
student (or the parents of that student), click on the Randomize
icon for that specific student (the Randomize icon is the one
with the circular arrow). After changing any Start Keys, be sure
to print a handout listing the new information for the
appropriate students and/or parents if you wish to provide them
with continued access to your class info. |
| How do I activate
my Account? |

Publishing Key First, find your Publishing Key,
which you received from your School Administrator, of when you
purchased publishing to Grades Online from ThinkWave. Your
Publishing Key has a 4 - 4 - 4 - 3 format. * Purchase Grades
Online Publishing KeyEnable publishing privileges * Login with
your ThinkWave ID. * Click the Publishing link on the left side
of your Homepage * Under "Enter new publishing key," type in
your publishing key and click Enter. You only need to enter this
key once. |

Make sure cookies are enabled on your
web-browser. To enable cookies, please review below:
If you're using Internet Explorer 5.0:1. Go to Tools | Internet
Options 3. Click on the Security tab, 4. Select Internet and
click on the Custom Level button. 5. Scroll down to Cookies and
choose enable cookies.
If you're using Netscape Communicator 4.0: 1. Go to Edit |
Preferences 3. Click on Advanced Settings. 4. Set your options
in the box labeled "Cookies".
If you are running an older version of either Netscape or
Internet Explorer, you may have difficulty connecting. Please
try downloading the latest version of your web-browser at either
www.netscape.com or www.microsoft.com. |
| Can I change
school and personal info? |

Click on Options and then click on the School
Info tab to change the name, address or other school info. Click
on Save to update changes. Click on Options and click on the
Personal Contact Info tab to change the teacher contact
information that appears to students and parents. Click on Save
to update the changes |
