Here are some sources you may find useful to understand some of the  topics we have been talking about and gain more insight.

One of them is about Simon Bolívar and the difficulties found during Independence Revolutions as well as after gaining independence in terms of coming to an agreement on the most suitable form of government. We know already this particular issue prevented many countries from staying together as they had been while fighting against Spain.

The second one refers to Human Sustainability. It is a report that correlates  the social, economical and environmental factors,or pillars.

Be prepared (this reminds me of a song !!!) for your next upcoming project....................It will be the last major one of the year . It will help you (and us) to know who you are at the end of the school year through the words of someone else . First you must decide what makes you tick . Consider your family , hobbies and/or other topics you feel make you who you are . One you have selected the ideas about how to explain yourself , you begin to research famous quotes , either from novels , poetry , plays ...They can be from  American or foreign authors , fiction or non .

I am interested for you to find a creative and clever way to present your findings through a carefully planned presentation .

Make your project outstanding  ; I will give you by the end of this week the project guidelines .Everyone will present his/her reflection in a 4 minutes (+/-1) time frame.

You will have NO class time to work on this project. Everything will be done outside of class; So.... start thinking now , research quotes , ponder on how you will present yourself .

DUE DATE :Monday June 11th.

Keep working hard and well , participate when we do have class discussion. Remember , always do your best even if you do not like what you have to do or the situation you are in . It is an essential skill for life .

Ok students, despite the changes last week, you are now on your way to starting your first business with my support. This is the bulk of your grade for the term. We will be working on it together. The more you put into it, the more you will get out of it. By Monday 30th April I want you have read through the handout (attached) and come prepared with a fully fledged idea. This will be the basis for the start of your business plan and business. If you are struggling for ideas, talk to your parents and/or friends, or surf the net and search for kid businesses. There are lots of great ideas out there. Try to make it manageable and realistic. Entrepreneurs are all great dreamers but a good entrepreneur also understands their limitations and/or environmental factors that will allow their efforts to succeed or not. So let's have some fun!
