For the Science Fair on Tuesday, I have included an example of what we are looking for in the attached file. This is only the first two sections (Purpose, Hypothesis), because the rest will vary greatly depending on the project.

Just to let everyone know, that our online system has been having some difficulties and not all of the grades are up to date. I am working to resolve the issue, and update the grades ASAP. I can see the correct grades on my side, but end-users cannot. Feel free to contact me if you have any quesitons.

Parents,

I am enojying meeting with everyone this week, it is nice to see everyone and connect about your child's future. I would like to ask that everyone emails me their email address to mguidry@centralusd.k12.ca.us so that I can have your information on file.

Thanks,

Mr. Guidry

In class, we started writing our own tall-tale stories. Students that need extra time should write at home to complete the assignment. Write it in 1-3 paragraphs. Write about a friend of Paul Bunyan.

Some questions you can try to answer: What is he/she like? What do they do? Who are they? What should we know about them? When did they live? Where did they live/travel? Why should we like/dislike them? How did they do what they do?

Today, in the computer lab, we had students log into their gradebook to see their grades.

*to:*All Students

We started a two-page sheet in class, if your student did not complete it in class, have them finish it at home.

*to:*All Students

For practice. students had p. 9 in their Math Textbooks, problems #14-31. If students did not complete p. 7 #'s 1-11, and/or p.9 #1-12 in class, then they are to do it for homework.

Parents & Students,

The grades are up-to-date. We are doing benchmark testing this week, so HW will be minimal. Students should have everything up to page 38 completed (Reading Practice Book), p. 20 in both Math books, and completed the 4 science questions regarding our Solar Energy unit.

Students have a new math packet where they are practicing reducing fractions, multiplying fractions, and comparing fractions. They are still working on their ELA packet for Main Idea and Details, which will be due sometime next week (probably on 10/10/2012).

Students have been working on a Math packet this week and it is due on Monday morning. I will not be reminding students to turn in their packets, it is their responsibility to turn it in to the designated location (Bookshelf)--the packet is 16 pages. Additionally, students should have completed Lessons 1-10 in their Main Idea and Details packet. Have a great weekend!
