Thinkwave has not been averaging our grades accurately

to:All Students

Aloha students and parents. I have stopped updating grades in thinkwave because we have noticed that many of the grades are not averaging properly.

There are two possibilities when this happens. First, many passing students are finding that thinkwave is giving them a failing grade. This has been causing much concern with students and parents. Second, many students who are failing are seeing a passing grade. This can lead to a false sense of security. When progress reports and reports come out, the grade will be accurate.

We have spent several hours trying to iron out the problem. However, when we make corrections and save the work, we discover that the discrepancies still exist.

So, to get an accurate, up to date, grade - please email me.

Homework Notice - Do your homework and turn it in, on time.

to:All Students

All students should have the following supplies - every day - in class:

Have your homework ready to turn in every day that you come to class. If you notice a low weekly grade, or a sudden drop in grades, it can be directly coorelated to a student receiving a zero because of homework assignments not being turned in each class.

We assign homework for every math class - every day.

The assignments are always posted.

1. Textbook

2. Pencil with eraser

3. Notebook/3-ring binder with seperate sections for class notes, homework, quizzes/tests, and a Grade Journal.

4. You should also have extra paper in your notebook/binder.
