Assalamu alaikum. It was a pleasure to meet all the students today. This year we have a new book. And all the students also have a worksheet book, all the homework will be in the worksheet book. We covered Chapter 1 today, “Allah, Our Great Creator”. We talked how everything around us has been created by Allah. We also tried to memorize saying Subhan’ Allah whenever we see something beautiful. A reminder at home will be very helpful. Next week we will start Salah InshaAllah. Assalamu alaikum. This Sunday we finished the last lesson in the book and also did the questions at the end of the lesson. Students who were absent for the test also took their test. Assalamu alaikum. Today we had her last test. The test had questions and the Salah part. If the students want to improve their Salah points, they can practice during this week and I will repeat the Salah part of the test for them. After the test we finished our lesson Eid: Two Festivals. Homework: Students have to prepare for the test which will be from Lessons 18- 22. Salah from Takbeer to Sajadah will also be a part of the test. Assalamu alaikum. This Sunday we covered Lesson # 25, Forgiveness. We also worked on a project in class, where we used finger paint to do the five daily prayers. Homework: Students have to cover questions at the end of Lesson # 25 on pages 130,131. Students who have not submitted their projects, please bring them next Sunday. Test: Students will have a test on 4-22-18. The test will be from lessons, 18-22. This will include the following lessons: Musa (A) Isa (A) Makkah and Madinah Good Manners Kindness and Sharing Students will also be tested on Salah from Takbeer to Sajadah. Assalamu alaikum. This Sunday we covered Lesson # 24, Respect. We talked about how we must show respect to earn respect. In Salah we revised Salah and memorized the dua for Sajadah. Homework: Students have to answer the questions at the end of lesson # 24 on pages 125-126. Students also have to memorize the dua for Sajadah. The project is due on April 8. There is no school on April 1st and all students must bring in their project on April 8. Thank you. PROJECT: Students have to do a project on the two holy cities, Makkah and Madinah. They have to write facts about each city and put pictures on them. They can use their own book, any other books or the internet for information.

Assalamu alaikum. This Sunday we covered Lesson # 23, Allah Rewards Good Work. We talked about how there is a reward for every good deed we perform wether big or small. In Salah we revised Salah and started our lesson on Sajdah. Homework: Students have to answer the questions at the end of the lesson # 23. Students also have to memorize the dua for Sajadah. The project is due on April 8. Two students presented their projects in class this Sunday and did a very good job. Thank you.

Assalamu alaikum. This Sunday we covered Lesson # 22 Kindness and sharing. The students who had missed their test last week took their test as well. In Salah we revised everything we have learnt so far. Homework: Students have to answer the questions at the end of the lesson on pages 115-116. Students also must revise Sami Allah Hulliman...... Some kids still have not memorized the part Rabbana Lakal Hamd. Parents are requested to revise it at home with their kids. Next week we are going to move on to the next step Sajadah. As mentioned in the last week's update. Students have to prepare a project on Makkah and Madinah. They must have at least 5 facts about Makkah and Madinah on their project. Assalamu alaikum. This Sunday we covered Lesson # 20, Makkah and Madinah. We watched a short video, with some pictures of Makkah and Madinah so the kids will have some idea. We also played a game to practice for the test next week. In Salah we revised the dua for Ruku and Sami Allah...... Homework: For homework this week students have to practice for their test which will be from lessons 13 to 17. 1. Angels 2. Shaitan 3. Adam (A) 4. Nuh (A) 5. Assalamu alaikum. This Sunday we covered lesson # 19 Isa (A). We revised Salah from beginning till Sami Allah Hulliman..... We also practiced kids reading their Five Pillars of Islam project. The students performed it in the assembley and did a great job. Homework: Students have to cover the questions at the end of lesson Isa (A) on pages 100 and 101. They also must memorize Salah, as they will be tested on it in the upcoming test. Test: Students will have their first test of the semester from Lessons 13 to 17, on March 4. Assalamu alaikum. This Sunday we covered Lesson # 18 Musa (A). In Salah we revised Salah from Takbeer to Sami Allah Hulliman Hamidah..... as the students are either forgetting it or need to work more on it. Students also practiced reading thier Pillars of Islam project which they will be presenting in the assembly next week, February 18. Homework: Students have to answer the questions at the end of the lesson Mus (A) on pages 95,96. They also have to practice Salah. Please make sure they bring their Pillars of Islam paper to school next Sunday as they will be reading from it in the assembly. Thank you

Assalamu alaikum, This Sunday we covered lesson # 17, Prophet Ibrahim (A). In Salah we practiced Salah from the beginning till Sami Allah Huliman Hamidah.... We also practiced the kids’ projects. Students will be performing it and reading their Pillars of Islam project in front of the assembly on February 18. Homework: Students have to cover the questions at the end of the lesson Prophet Ibrahim (A) on pages 91, 92. Students must also practice Salah and memorize the dua Sami Allah Huliman Hamidah. Assalamu alaikum, This Sunday we covered lesson # 16, Nuh (A). In Salah we revised Salah from Takbeer till Ruku. Each student has to perform Salah with actions and the Surahs and Duas in class for practice. We also revise it together many times. Some students still need practice at home and parents are requested to help them revise it at home. We have also started the next step in Salah that is memorizing “Sami Allahu liman Hamidah”. Homework: Students have to answer the questions at the end of the lesson Nuh(A) on pages 85-86. Students also have to memorize the dua for Ruku. Thank you

Dear Parents,

       Assalamu alaikum. Today we covered Lesson # 15 Adam(A). In Salah we practiced Salah from the beginning till Ruku. As we did not have school last week, most of the kids were forgetting Salah as they are not getting any practice. Parents are requested to plaese help them practice Salah at home, to further reinforce what they are learning in class. We will move to the next lesson in Salah next week so students must memorize the dua for Ruku. 

HOMEWORK:

     Students have to answer the questions at the end of the lesson on pages 80,81. They also have to memorize the dua for Ruku.  

Students will also be presenting their 5 Pillars of Islam project in the assembley. I will help them practice in class. They will present in Feburary. I will confirm the date nexr week inshaAllah.

Assalamu alaikum, This Sunday we covered Lesson # 14, Shaitan: Our Enemy. We talked about how Shaitan makes people not listen to Allah ( SWT). We also practiced saying Aouzubillahiminashitaunirajeem. We also learnt its meaning. A reminder at home will be very helpful. I also took the Salah part of the test again so kids who had been practicing at home could improve their grade. In Salah we revised Salah and started Ruku and memorized the dua for Ruku. Homework: Students have to answer the questions at the end of the lesson on pages 75, 76. They also have to memorize the dua for Ruku Subhana Rabiull Azeem. Thank you

Assalamu alaikum, This Sunday we covered the lesson # 13, Angels: They Always Work for Allah. We also had our test. In Salah we revised what we knew as some kids still have not memorized Salah. Homework: Students have to answer the questions at the end of the lesson 13 on pages 70 & 71. Students also need to revise Salah at home. I will repeat only the Salah part of the test so kids who did not do very well in the test can improve their grade. Students need to work on Takbeer, Thana and Surah Fatiha. Also students who did not submit their project on the 5 pillars of Islam must submit it on Sunday 1-7-18. Thank you

Assalamu alaikum, Today we covered Lesson # 12, Saying Bismillah. We also answered the questions at the end of the lesson so students don't have to do it at home. In Salah we revised Thana and Surah Fateha. Homework: Next Sunday 12-17-17 we will have our test from lessons 6-11. The lessons are about the 5 pillars of Islam. We revised the lessons in class in preparation for the test. Students must read all the lessons and the questions at the end. Also Thana and Surah Fateha will also be a part of the test. 3 students submitted their projects in class today. The project is also due next week. Thank you

Assalamu alaikum, This Sunday we covered lesson # 11, Hajj. We played a game afterwards to revise all that we learnt in the lesson. In Salah we revised Thana, ( Subhana kalla humma....). The kids who have memorized the dua have started working on Surah Fateha. Homework: Answer the questions at the end of Lesson Hajj, pages 60-61. Students also have to memorize Thana and start memorizing Surah Fateha. Most kids already know Surah Fateha, parents are requested to review it with their kids. Students should also start working on their projects and their upcoming test. The test is on Dec 17 and the project is also due on or before Dec 17. Thank you

Assalamu alaikum, This Sunday we covered Lesson # 10, Zakat. We also watched a short video about Zakat and helping the needy. In Salah we continued memorizing Subhana Kallahumma...... MashaAllah some kids have memorized the whole dua. Homework: Students have to answer the questions at the end of Lesson 10 Zakat on pages 55,56. Students also need to memorize Subhana kalla humma...... Next Sunday we will move to the next step in Salah. Test: Students will have their second test from lessons 6-11 on December 17, 2017. They will also be tested on Thana (Subhana kalla Humma....) and Surah Fatiha from Salah. Project : Students have their first project due by December 17, 2017. They can select one of the 5 pillars of Islam and write 5 facts about it. They just have to present it on paper as their project and read the facts in front of the class.

Assalamu alaikum, This Sunday we had our first test. Kids who were absent will be taking their test next Sunday October 29, which is the last day to make up for the test. After the test we covered lesson # 7, Shahadah. We also covered the concept of Takbeer in Salah. Homework: Students have to cover the questions at the end of the lesson on pages 40 and 41. Also kids must practice saying Shahadah and will be asked to recite it in class. Parents are requested to go over the meaning of Shahadah with their kids. Project Students have their first project due on December 17, 2017. They can select one of the 5 pillars of Islam and write 5 facts about it. They can use any paper they like and decorate the way the want to. They just have to present it on paper as their project and read the facts in front of the class.

We also did the questions at the end of the lesson so students do not have any homework as they will be preparing for their test. We also revised Wudu in preparation of the test. Homework: We will be having our first test on 10-22-17. Students have to prepare the questions in the study guide that was sent home. They will also be tested on the 5 daily prayers names and all the steps of Wudu in order. Please remind them that the first step of Wudu is saying Bismillah..... Dear parents, Assalamu alaikum. This Sunday we covered Lesson # 5, "The Quran". In Salah we revised the five daily prayers names. We also went over the steps of Wudu and they were also sent home with the kids to practice at home. The concept of Azan was the new lesson we went over. Homework: Students have to answer the questions at the end of lesson # 5, pages 31 and 32. For Salah students have to practice doing Wudu at home and memorize all the steps in order. Test #1: We will be having our first test on 10-22-17 from Lessons 1 -5. In Salah they will be tested on the names of the five daily prayers and the steps of Wudu. Dear parents, Assalamu alaikum. This Sunday we covered lesson 3, "Our Faith". In Salah we revised the 5 daily prayers names. We also started how to perform Wudu. We started with practicing Bismillah before doing Wudu and then the first 4 steps of Wudu. Homework Students have to answer the questions at the end of the lesson on pages 21,22. Kids also have to memorize the names of the five daily prayers. Students who have not covered the homework from lesson 1 and 2 must finish those.
