Independent Reading

The last day to take an Independent Reading Quiz (AR) will be December 14.  This is an A Block Day--B Block students will not be allowed to leave other classes to take a quiz.  The reading and the review are approximately 25 percent of the quarter grade.

End of quarter requirements

to:English 9 Period 1

Freshmen--The quarter ends on Friday, September 28, 2012.  Students must complete their independent reading, five Achieve 3000 articles (only scores 75% or higher count), and their narrative essay (all components must be turned in--graphic organizer, 1st draft, sentence analysis sheet, 2nd draft, peer edit, final draft.  The essay is an end of quarter activity that we have been building toward all quarter--it is the standards assignment and must be completed. 

Seniors--The quarter ends on Friday, September 28, 2012.  Students must have their project proposals in, their planning reflection completed, independent reading completed, and take the Beowulf final.
