Book Project

from:King, Melissa

to:All Students

Due January 21, 2015

All students will choose a children's book to use for a project. The book needs to meet a few criteria:
-enjoyable to them
-have pictures
-fiction (meaning it is not true or did not really happen in real life)
-a book that could be read to a child, approximately 4th grade and below

The students will need to read the book and come up with 3 science concepts that can be found through out the book.

To give you a few ideas of where these books can be found:
-possibly from home or relative
-the school library
-the public library
-your church's library (if they have one)
-Goodwill/Faith Farm/or other thrift store
-a bookstore
-purchased online

Please know they will be using this book for several weeks. Your student was shown an example in class today and the book The Dark, Dark Night was actually read to them. Even in 6th-12th grade, they still enjoy being read to.

Please let me know if you have any questions about the project. mking.oca@gmail.com
