files: HUNGER.doc

Today we discussed the issue of hunger in our world.

A homework assignment was given that will be collected at our  next class and also a challenge issued to the students to "experience" hunger by fasting breakfast and lunch the day of class. This is not mandatory and students were instructed to gain permission from their parents before attempting the fast.

Dear Parents,

Heading into our third week of school vegetables are already growing in the "Gratitude Garden"! We have eggplant, tomatoes, cucumbers and pumpkins sprouting. The students are measuring their growth and tracking rainfall and temperature readings each week.

Please return the signature slip that was attached to the Ag class guidlelines if you have not done so already.  Students without this signature on file may not be permitted to participate in certain activities which may affect their participation grade.

The "My American Farm" (see attachment)assignment was given out this week. If your student does not have acess to the internet to complete this project, please let me know.

Thank you!
