Dear students,

Since there were some absences last week and some of you missed the corrections of the Sudy Guide, you will find the answers attached. Remember, for the first part of the course, all the questions will be copied and pasted from the Test 1, except the question about conjugations. The irregular verbs I can ask you are in the power point of Lesson 2 (focusing on querer, salir, tener, the rest are only examples to help you to understand the process of conjugations) and Lesson 6 (all the irregular verbs here). Also, in Lesson 2, you will find the conjugation of the regular verbs.

One student has just told me it would be very useful to have a list of the vocabulary and grammar you should know for every lesson, and I was kind of shocked and concerned: I hope everybody knows you I have been sending you those vocabulary lists and grammar summaries in the power points you have in Thinkwave and your email during the whole course, week by week, and I also hope you have been collecting them.

Thank you and don't worry, the course is almost over, and this is just one more test, as you know, it is not a final exam and your grade does not depend on it so much (it is a very little part of it). Also, those of you who have been studying regularly will have no problem at all. I expect good grades, I am pretty sure!!! Let's go!!!

Good luck with everything,

Eva

Dear students,

One student in this class has asked me when the Oral Presentation 2 is due. According to our syllabus and what I reminded you in class, it should be due tomorrow. Then, on Thursday we will review for the Grammar and Vocabulary Test 2, and it will be our last class together. Is someone going to miss Thursday class? Please, let me know in advance.

Thank you guys,

Oral Presentations

from:García, Eva

to:Elementary Spanish - SP 102 - 2C, Spring 2022, Intermediate Spanish I - SP 201-2C, Spring 2022

Dear all,

A different student has just told me that you all are confused because you thought the Oral Presentations 2 should be due on Thursday. I have not idea where your confusion could possibly come from, if it is clear on the syllabus and I reminded you in class the order of the things we would do during the last weeks. The only reason I can think about is you talked to the other class and you learned they would do it on Wednesday, but that is because they did not have their Monday class today!! Or maybe most of you just forgot because you had a nice long weekend planned :-)

Anyway, I am looking forward to giving you all the best grade you are able to get (and I am pretty sure you will do your best to make it possible). Given the circumstances, if there is someone who wants to do it tomorrow, they have the right to do it, so we will listen to them. But the rest can do it on Thursday without being penalized, as an exception.

I hope you have prepared the Study Guide instead, because if you thougth the presentations were due on Thursday, you would think the Study Guide would be for tomorrow, right? If you have not, though, please, attend our class anyway, so that you can review the content at least once before the Grammar and Vocabulary Test.

Thank you and see you tomorrow. Please, don't panic and do a good job for Thursday, I am sure you  guys will,

Eva

Dear students,

From now to the end of the semester, your homework will be preparing your tests, nothing else. That includes (check the syllabus for the deadlines):

-Studying for the Composition 2 (you know it will be a letter, an answer to a "fake letter" you will get from a relative or a friend that I will give you). It can be about all the lessons covered during the course.

-Preparing the Oral Presentation 2 (instructions, in the syllabus).

-Completing the Study Guide for Grammar and Vocabulary Test 2, since the last class day (check the syllabus), we will correct it together.

Thank you!

As I told you, there was a mistake on slide 4, the verb "descubrir" did not have the write irregular participle (descubierto), it was just the infinitive (descubrir). Attached you will find the good version.
