Readings for 9/26

from:Delisle, Alexis

to:2310 Public Health - Fall 2012

I'm probably not going to cover domestic violence issues (which is what the assigned readings are about) next week. So don't worry about doing any reading, we'll just do all our learning in class.

We'll probably structure class as:

  • Biostatistics lecture
  • Watch that 30 minute video we didn't get to see this week given we can find a different dvd player that cooperates with us
  • Fill out the worksheet that corresponds to that video

Have a great weekend!

Week 2 Readings

from:Delisle, Alexis

to:All Students

files: Biro_2011.pdf

Great meeting everyone today! I'm excited about teaching this class. Hopefully we can keep it interesting and fun this semester.

I've attached the Biro (2011) article for next week.  Also, don't forget to look at Ch 1 in the textbook.  Remember to think of any talking points from the article to discuss in class.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Welcome and Syllabus

from:Delisle, Alexis

to:All Students

Hello!

I'm Alexis Delise, your instructor for Public Health this Fall.

I've attached a copy of the syllabus for you to look over. There are not any readings/preparation to do before class next week, as I assume not everyone would get around to the readings before the first day of class.

We'll mostly just go over the syllabus and course layout and do a brief lecture for the first class.

I look forward to meeting everyone next week.
