Hello again everyone, and thank you for checking in with the blog. Students have already delved into the school year. Students have started their health journals. Each morning they for bell work, they open up a page and write about some personal, health-related topic. They can talk about anything from what they ate the previous day and how it made them feel (sluggish, energetic) to personal relationships that have affected them throughout the week. They can write about anything that affects their emotional or physical health.
Students also have started their first unit. We have been talking about heredity, chronological age, physiological age, and how we can control our risk factors for disease. We should be wrapping up this first chapter on Wednesday, students will be playing a game to review on Thursday for the test on Friday.
