Hello and welcome to week two of World History. Last week, students learned how to research and report their findings on their Chrome Books. They also took a pre-test on our first unit on human origins. This week we will be diving into curriculum. Students will open the week by viewing a presentation on the subject. We will play a review game on Thursday to reinforce content knowledge and take a quiz on the subject matter on Friday. The quiz, as well as all the tests, will be open note. Students can use the presentations, their own notes, and any of the electronic information they can gather to complete their assessment. I believe it is important that students know how to access reliable sources and incorporate that into their understanding of the world.

We will be exploring a world close to home on September 19 when we travel to the Clark County Museum in Henderson. We are always looking for parents to take students and enjoy the fun with us. Let me know if you would be interested in that. You should have the permission slip already.

Please check this blog at least once a week for updates on what is happening in class. Of course, if you have any questions, please feel free to drop me an e-mail at bidellb@nhalv.org.
