Welcome to week 3 of U.S. History. This week, students will continue studying colonization in the Americas. Students will be amending their Google presentations early in the week, and should be able to present those to the class on Wednesday. Students will receive a grade that emcompasses their individual work and their work as a team. If you would like the rubric, please feel free to e-mail me with that request, and I can get that out to you.

Homework: History homework is on Monday night. I would like students to research the Salem Witch Trials on the computer. They should know when and in which colony those trials took place and some of the key historical figures. We will be watching a video and discussing the witch trials later in the week, and talking about the concept of a"witch hunt." We will be calling up these resources later in the year when we study "McCarthyism," and we will compare the actual witch hunt with the more abstract in the McCarthy era.
