This week we are starting a six-week unit on Social and Emotional Health. Students opened the week sharing their stories about things that have affected their emotional health in the past. Over the next week, students will learn about self-knowledge and how we can use that self-knowledge to build self-confidence. Self-confidence is a huge issue in middle school and high school, and students should gain many personal benefits. Students also will be talking about personal values and how adhering to those values-or not considering those values-affects their social and emotional health.
Our activities this week will revolve around communicating feelings in an acceptable manner.
As usual, if you have any questions about the upcoming week's activities, please feel free to drop me a line.
