On this Veteran's Day weekend I wanted to thank all of our parents who have served our country in the U.S. Armed Services. Before students went out for break, we talked about the original celebration on November 11, 1918 when the armistice was signed effectively ending what we now know as World War I. We talked about Armistice Day and how it has evolved into Veteran's Day, a day of appreciation for all of the men and women who have served this country in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard. For those of you who have served, we thank you for sacrificing your comfort, your security, and your very lives for a cause and a country that you believe in. Thanks again for all you have done.
