Our student ceramic mural has found a new temporary home at the McCaw School of Mines in Henderson. The mural, which features over 500 tiles by students at New Horizons and three other schools, will be featured at the school through December.  Also on display are the letters that the students wrote to the miners. The mural made its debut at the mining school on Saturday. Right now, we are in the early stages of planning a field trip to the School of Mines. The school features a replica of a mine and a mining town. Students also can pan for gold at the school and participate in other mine-related activities.  If you are interested in seeing the mural at its new venue, please contact me at rushl@nhalv.org.

Thanks to those who were able to make it out to the mining school's open house over the weekend.  I look forward to incorporating more student artwork into the broader community throughout the school year.

Your support is always appreciated.
