Music Videos

Students are continuing to work on their music videos this week. We have a few who have finished with the project, but most have only just begun. We have had some technical challenges laying down audio through various means since our Chrome Books do not support the lengthy audio of a song.  Students are putting together video and/or still relating to their project. I will be e-mailing the rubric for the project so you can look that over and call me with any questions. I have already pushed back the due date for the music video to December 14 since it will likely take that long for students to gather footage, upload it, and edit it. If I have to, I can push back the deadline once again.

The purpose of the exercise is so students master skills associated with video editing. It is a significant part of exploring the capabilities of computer technology. Also, I would like to incorporate video into the history classes to make the process of learning more interesting. Not to mention, the skill of video editing could be used in a variety of careers including sales, public relations, and journalism, to name a few.

As usual, if you have any questions or comments regarding the content or delivery of the material, please feel free to drop me a line at bidellb@nhalv.org. I also am available after school. I am overseeing a student video project in the auditorium on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, but I am still able to speak with parents during that time.

Have a great, stress-free week.
