Presidential Administrations, Washington through Ulysses Grant
TimeDec. 16, 2012
This week, we will be moving through American History via the Presidential administrations. Students have been working on a first person account of a specific President of the United States. Through those accounts, students will be learning about significant events during those administrations such as the Lousiana Purchase, the War of 1812, the Monroe Doctrine and the Era of Good Feeling, the Missouri Compromise, the Indian Removal Act, the Amistad, the Mexican War, the Kansas-Nebraska Act, and the Civil War, the Lincoln Assassination and fallout, and the first presidential impeachment, to name a few highlights.
For homework this week, students should be completing a majority of their projects. Students will have Monday and Tuesday of this week to complete those projects. I will be sending out the rubric for that project in a separate e-mail. Please let me know if you do not receive that.
If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
