Well, we are wrapping up a very trying week. Most students came through with flying colors as they worked to understand the awesome responsbility of parenting. Students were supposed to take their flour babies everywhere they went throughout the week AND wake up at 2 a.m. to feed their make-shift babies. Grades should reflect their conscientious efforts. If you have any questions or concerns regarding those grades, please feel free to drop me an e-mail. I do want to thank parents for the extra effort as well. I know the exercise was trying on the sleep schedule of the entire family. Of course, this was the reason for the lesson.
Students will be wrapping up their unit on Pregnancy and STD prevention this week. Included in this unit will be the responsibilities of pregnancy and parenting. It will include the stages of pregnancy, the development of the fetus, and vocabulary associated with those two concepts. We will continue vocabulary that includes those subjects. At the end of the week, students will take an assessment on the unit. The assessment will be open note.
Once again, if you have any questions about anything that we do in Health class, please send me an e-mail or call me at school.
