Students will be completing this bills this week for E-Congress this week. Students are working on legislation that will be voted upon later this month. NHCL students will be voting on bill created by students in other states, while those students will be voting on our student bills.
Homework will be a little different this week. I have traded homework days with Mr. Turnbull. So students will be gettting their Math homework on Monday. The Nevada Legislature begins its session on Monday. Students should answer the following questions:
1) What number session is the legislative session?
2) How long is the scheduled legislative session?
3) When does the state legislature adjourn (Sine Die)?
On Friday, we will be having a guest speaker; Weiming Chen. Mr. Chen was born in China and recently traveled to Syria to work with the Syrian rebels to help them fight against their oppressive regime. On Thursday, in preparation for Mr. Chen's visit, we will be talking about the role of government and whether the students believe the government of both China and Syria and fulfillling the roles appointed to government.
