Students in Nevada History have moved into the 20th Century. Students are learning about key issues associated with that time period in Nevada, including women's suffrage, the founding of Las Vegas, World War I, the legalization of gambling, the building of Hoover Dam, and Ben "Bugsy" Siegel and the beginnings of the Strip.
Unlike most weeks, homework will revolve around current events rather than our subject of study. Also different from most weeks is that fact that students will be doing their History homework on Tuesday rather than Monday. Mr. Turnbull and I have swtiched homework days. Students in Nevada History will answer the following questions regarding the opening of the state legislative session.
1) What number session is the legislative session?
2) How long is the scheduled legislative session?
3) When does the state legislature adjourn (Sine Die)?
