Lifestyle Diseases and Voluntary Active Euthanasia

TimeApril 01, 2013

from:Bidell, Barbara

We will be winding down our unit on lifestyle diseases this week.  The first part of the week will be dedicated to discussion and review of the subject. By Thursday, students should be ready for their unit test.

On Friday, we will be moving into our unit on mature life, aging, and death. As part of the unit, students will be researching the controversial subject of assisted suicide and voluntary active euthanasia. Most studens have already started their projects on euthanasia; there is a rubric in the drive. Students can use the information they have gathered for that report and  some other research. Friday students will be using that research in a class debate on the subject. Students will either argue for the legalization of assisted suicide or against it. Students will be told Thursday on which side they will be debating.

As usual, if you have questions regarding any of the work the students are doing, please feel free to drop me a line at bidellb@nhalv.org.
