The 19th Amendment; Women's Right to Vote

This week, students will be watching the amended version of a film associated with the women's suffrage movement. The film, Ironjawed Angels, details the successful endeavor led by Alice Paul and Lucy Burns to gain a women's right to vote. Once the film is over, students will take a brief quiz on key aspects of the suffrage movement.

Students will not be attending U.S. History on Tuesday. Instead, they will be going to an assembly; students in the Nevada History class are putting on a play entitled The History of Las Vegas during fourth period.

If there is time at the end of the week, students will once again start on a presidential project. These will be individual projects once again highlights a president from Woodrow Wilson to Barack Obama. 

For homework this week, students will answering the following questions:

1) What is the process of passing an amendment to the United States Constitution?

2) How many amendments have their been to the Constitution?
