Students in the Nevada History class are moving through the 20th and 21st centuries in our next unit entitled Modern Nevada. Students will be delving into details about Nevada, and particularly Las Vegas, in the last sixty years. Students will be learning about the gaming industry, technology, modern mining, construction, and other businesses that have shaped Nevada's business landscape. Students will be reading out of the text, learning new and significant vocabulary, and displaying their content knowledge through class discussion and a unit test at the end of the month.
For homework this week, students will be answering the following question:
1) What is Nevada's leading industry?
2) How much revenue (money) does it bring into the state each year?
As usual, if you have any questions regarding this unit or anything else we are covering in Nevada History, please drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org.
