The Korean War

Students have commenced rehearsals on Austin Robert's play The Korean War. Some students are putting together the set and props, while others are learning their lines and working on their interpretation of their real-life character.  Over the next two weeks, homework will be related to the Korean War. The people, places, and issues associated with the Korean War. Students will be performing their play as part of the Memorial Day Tribute on Tuesday, May 28 (the day after Memorial Day). 

For this week's homework, students will answer the following question.

1) What is the 38th parallel, and what role did it play in the Korean Conflict?

2) Who was Dr. Syngman Rhee? What role did he play in the conflict?

3) Who was Kim Il-sung? Who is Kim Jung-on? How are Kim Il-sung and Kim Jung-on related?
