For the majority of you, final grades are complete. I finally managed to get grades to display according to the syllabus grading scheme by adding a column for quiz and case study average. Please contact me if you need explanation of how that figure was obtained - basically your first quiz grade, an extra filler quiz to equalize grades where everyone got a free 10 point quiz, and your case study grades.

For those of you who have any blanks in an assignment column, your final grade is NOT complete, and you will await further information. (you know who you are!)

Blessings to all of you - it has been a wonderful semester, and I hope very rewarding for you! I'm looking forward to seeing you all for Intrapartum in a couple of weeks!

I was surprised at how many of you missed the definition of a reactive NST - please make careful note of the appropriate parameters for the midterm.

30 y/o primip delivered 24 hours ago of male infant. Baby was 6-5#, total labor 22h and pushed for 2h. Blood loss was 500mL, but no shock was evident. Significant 2nd degree laceration, repaired (very well!) by you, the midwife. Client was discharged 4h after delivery. Client has partner and some family (mom, sister, neice) present for support.

Hello women,

The midterm grades are up, and include a 2 percentage point curve. There was one question thrown out (Ritgen Maneuver) and a couple of others that were sketchy, hence the curve.

This Tuesday I will need to end class at about 11:15. At that time I will give you your midterms and let you keep them until later in the afternoon. We can schedule an exam review during one of your breaks if you want, or you can just come to me individually with questions. I will be back at the school by 2 or 3pm.
