How do I enter a returning student?

Input the student into the current year. Let it give you the "wrong" student ID. Just agree to the default Student ID it gives you and click Save.
Once the student is in, click on the small "gear" on the top right of the Students tab and select “Edit
Student ID”. A direct link is here: https://www.thinkwave.com/secure/student_id/
Erase whatever is in the Student ID text block, and change the student ID to the same ID as in earlier years.
Under “I want to”, select ”Link this record to record in other years”.
