Assalamualaikum,
In class on February 5, the students were tested on Surah Ash-Sharh on pages 100-101 of the "A Student's First Guide to Juz'Amma" book. About half the class took the test, and the other half will take it next week.
The students that have not taken the test yet should continue practicing the memorization and meaning of Surah Ash-Sharh to prepare to be tested next class.
Next week will also be an optional extra credit opportunity for the students: For students that want to participate, I will pick random words from Lesson 6 and 7 of the Noorani Qa'idah "Master Reading the Quran" book for the students to read. They will get extra credit points for the words they read correctly.
Our next surah will be Surah Ad-Dhuha, if any students want to start practicing the reading, memorizing, AND meanings to get ahead!
The Junior Jeopardy quiz (against other levels) was today, and the competition is next class, on February 12th. For students that are selected participants in the competition due to a good score on the quiz, here is the link (https://sundayschool.mapitt.org/updates) for the study materials to help Level 4 win in the competition!
Missing work:
If not done yet, please complete the Surah Ash-Sharh Week 1 worksheet as soon as possible; I linked the worksheet to a previous message.
Students that have not yet completed the Surah At-Teen test or Lessons 1-5 test must do them as soon as possible! If you are a new student, don't worry about this; just focus on Surah Ash-Sharh for now.
Also, if your child has not yet turned in the Surah At-Teen Week 2 or Week 3 worksheets, please encourage your child to do these assignments and turn them in as soon as possible. The worksheets for Surah At-Teen Weeks 2 and 3 are linked in previous messages. Again, new students, don't worry about these past assignments for now.
