Assalamu alaykum parents,
I hope all is good and the kids enjoyed their winter break!

The kids did great on their test, I have FOUR students who couldn’t attend the test and I am looking forward to give them the test during our class (this Sunday). I encourage those who will take the test to study memorization of Surah Al- Fatiha and Al- Ikhlas, study the Tafseer of Surah Al- Fatiha and the meaning of Allah names Al- Rahman, Al- Raheem( as mentioned in my previous texts). Also to work on the Arabic letters ج ح خ د ذ ر ز س ش ، and work on the sentences I attached previously as they help a lot in the test.
Good luck!

Please continue working with your son/ daughter in listening daily to the Shaikh to enhance their memorization. This makes a great difference.

Salaam parents,

Today we wrapped up the unit on the 5 pillars of Islam with the chapter about Hajj.
We ran out of time to do the end of the chapter questions but we'll work on them next Sunday.

Next Sunday is the Exam for Unit 2. Today I handed out a study guide that should be in the green folders. Please ask your children about it and help them study these guides. I make these guides to provide key points they need to know instead of having them go through all the chapters again at home.
As long as they study what's on the study guide, they will be ready for the exam. This exam will cover Unit 2, chapters 7,8,9,10,11.

Homework: Study the study guide to prepare for the Unit 2 exam next week.

Assalamu alaykum,

In class on November 16th, the kids listened to Surah Al Fatiha and Al Ikhlas, they were confident and motivated in saying them infront of the class each one of them, they did great!
For homework, parents should continue to work with the kids to listen to the two surahs from the short videos I posted (and will post them again), the more they repeat the better they become in memorization.
Please ask them to explain the meaning of Surah al Fatiha from the illustrations they have in their blue folder. Ask them about the meaning of Allah name (AL RAHMAN): the merciful , or Allah loves everyone
    •    Allah is very kind
    •    Allah gives us mercy
    •    Allah is always caring, giving us food, clothes, family that loves us…

This Sunday: As for writing Arabic letters, we are going to continue working in class on letters, and I will give them a sheet to write them as a homework.
