For Allah's messengers we did Hazrat Isa(AS) and we watched the story.

Some of the students did a great job reciting Surah Ash Shams (Nadia, Elhaan, Jenna, Aliza and Muhab).

Students completed their pictorial representation of the story of Prophet Saleh AS and the people of Thamud. 

Students completed an open book test on the content/ lessons learned from Surah Ash Shams.

This week we are keeping it simple: Students need to complete memorization of Surah Ash Shams! Also review Surah Al Alaq and Surah Al Layl. We will be moving on soon to the next Surah in the curriculum in shaa Allah.

Today we read the chapter about "Nabi Muhammad SAW", the final chapter in this unit. I handed out the study guides for this unit today. Please check your students' backpacks and help them study because we have a test on this unit NEXT SUNDAY.

If your child is going to be absent next week, they'll be given the exam when they return so please make sure they are prepared whenever they come back to class next.

Assalamualaikum,

In class on February 2nd, students practiced the memorization and meanings of ayas 4-5 in Surah Al-Bayyinah. I will link the blank and filled out copies of the study guide to this message. The vocabulary list will be provided soon in a separate worksheet. 

Students also practiced reading and connecting Arabic letters to make words and finding syllables in Arabic words - they worked in groups on the packet linked to this message (I will give everyone a copy of this packet next class Inshallah). 

The homework is to practice ayas 4-5 in Surah Al-Bayyinah in the study guide. I will give the students a Surah Al-Bayyinah homework worksheet next class Inshallah. 

Anyone who has not taken the Surah Ash-Sharh test yet should plan to take it as soon as possible.

The students started the project on making pictorial representations of the story of Prophet Saleh AS and the people of Thamud.

We will finish the prophets' unit next week with the last chapter on Prophet Muhammad SAW. I will also hand out the study guides for the upcoming unit test that will be in 2 weeks.
