This week we covered chapter 7 - Battle of Uhud 

Homework: answer the questions at the end of the chapter.

 We have also started to understand the meaning/ translation of Salah. We have read and will memorize translation so kids get an understanding what are we saying in our prayer. Read the translation of Thanna 5 times from the book beginner of Salah

In class on November 9th, students completed a worksheet to practice connecting and disconnecting Arabic letters.

I also gave students the Surah At-Teen Week 2 Homework Worksheet. Students that have not completed the the Surah At-Teen Week 1 Homework Worksheet should do so as soon as possible.

Next class, November 16th, will be the test. It will cover everything on the Surah At-Teen study guide (memorization, meanings, vocabulary, background), names of Allah that we covered so far, connecting and disconnecting Arabic letters, and Lesson 3 in the "Teach Your Child to Read Arabic" book (fatha, doma, kasra).

Salaam parents,

Today we learned about the third pillar of Islam: Zakat. Students asked very interesting questions about it and through our discussion, I hope they learned what they needed to about Zakat. 
Next week, we have a quiz on the first 3 pillars if Islam: Shahadah, Salat, and Zakat. These are covered in Chapter 7, 8 and 9 in the red book. 

Homework: Study chapters 7, 8 and 9 for the quiz next week.

      This Sunday we covered 8, Life before becoming a Nabi. We also covered the questions at the end of the lesson. We revised Salah. We also started working on our duas. 
Homework: Students who don't know the dua at the end of Salah please memorize it.

then we started Syrah Al Maun red the  story explains the meaning of the words 

Practice on the Arabic alphabet with Fatha Dammeh Kasrah

We started unit 2. We read chapter 6: Adam (A): The trial of the fist messenger and discussed the questions at the end of the chapter.

In class on November 2nd, students reviewed ayas 7-8 and their meanings using the Surah At-Teen study guide. Students also reviewed the names of Allah for Surah Al-Qadr and Surah At-Teen.

Students completed Lesson 3 in the "Teach Your Child to Read Arabic" book.

Salaam parents,

We continued with the new unit today with a chapter about the second pillar of Islam: Salat. We did not get to answer the questions at the end of the chapter so that is homework for this week. We also reviewed all 5 pillars and discussed the important things to note about performing salah. 
Report cards were handed out today so please check the backpacks for those and let me know if you have any questions.

Assalamu alaikum, 

       This Sunday we covered Chapter 7 in class and we also went over the questions at the end of the lesson. I gave the test back to the students and we reviewed it in class. Students were also given their report cards so please go over them. 
Homework: Students have to memorize the dua at the end of Salah. 'Rabbi Jaalni Muqeemu.....' attached, from their Salah book page 30. Some students know that dua already MashaAllah. Those students have to memorize the words in Adhan. I am not trying to give 2 things in HW. Some students know the dua and some students know Adhan. Please go over it with your child and make sure they memorize what they don't know. Any questions please feel free to reach out.

In today's class

We started with Surah t Al Fatiha throughout all Surahs on the chart Al Ikhlas A nnas Al Falaq Al Masad Qurish and we put stickers on every Surah and the kid memorized  

The kids were excited and tried to work more on the one they didn't memorize yet so please encourage them to o do so and help them  

Next Sunday I'm going to test them with Dua Assalawat Aj Ibrahimeya Allahumma Salli Ala Mohamed  ( no excuse  )

We practice on the Alphabet with Harakat and connecting letters to make words played a game with flash cards as a competition we tried I D to spell mostly Quranic words 

On the Arabic book, we did page  41  red and wrote the words 

We counted from 1-10 in Arabic 

Everyone got a reward and a gift bag for the great work they are doing I told them 

No matter how you do as long as you're doing your best 👏

In class on October 19th, students reviewed ayas 5-6 and their meanings using the Surah At-Teen study guide. Students also reviewed the names of Allah for Surah Al-Qadr and Surah At-Teen.

Students finished the last page of Lesson 2 in the "Teach Your Child to Read Arabic" book. Next week, we will start Lesson 3 Insha Allah. 

I also gave the students the Surah At-Teen Week 1 Worksheet for homework.

In today's class we 

Started with Surah Al Fatiha in Quran 

Then tried to remember the Surah they had befol like Surah Annas. Alhalak, Alkawther, Al Ekhlass Wurish we put Sticers for each Surah every kid know they where excited and I tested them in Surah Qurish and the kids know it better helped the other happily knowing they will get lots of good deeds from Allah SWT 

We  reviewed the Alphabet and the harakat we played games  

In the Arabic book we did pages 24 through  26 

Make sure they review the Dua Allahumah Salli Ala Mohamed and Islamic Months

  • Were tested on Alif, Baa, Taa, and Thaa
  • Reviewed Alif, Baa, Taa, and Thaa and introduced Jeem

Homework

  • Have Fatiha and Ikhlas memorized by next Sunday. If these are not memorized they will fall behind.
  • If the above surahs are memorized, then practice Thaa and Jeem in arabic book
