Saja

Assalamualaikum,

In class on November 12th, the students practiced reading, memorizing, and understanding the meaning of Quran, and reading Arabic.

The students played a review game to practice the memorization and meaning of Surah At-Teen (on pages 111-112 of the "A Student's First Guide to Juz'Amma" book) to review for next class's test. The students also practiced reading Arabic in Lesson 2 and 3 of the Noorani Qa'idah "Master Reading the Quran" book to prepare for the test.

Next class, on November 19th, is the test. It will be on the memorization and meaning of Surah At-Teen, and on reading from Lessons 2 and 3 in the Noorani Qa'idah "Master Reading the Quran" book. The best way to study for Surah At-Teen is to study the fill-in-the-blank study guide that I gave to the students. The study guide has more information about the meanings of the ayas than the "A Student's First Guide to Juz'Amma" book, so make sure to use the study guide to prepare for the test. In case anyone was absent or lost their study guide, I will link the student copy and answer key for the study guide to this message.

The day of the test is the last day that I will accept the Surah At-Teen Week 1 and Week 2 worksheets, so please make sure to turn them in next class if not done yet! The two worksheets are linked in previous weeks' messages. Don't forget to have a signature for each day of the week that the student completes this homework, so they can receive full credit!

In class, we also reviewed the memorization and meanings of the first 3 ayas of Surah Ash-Sharh on pages 100-101 of the "A Student's First Guide to Juz'Amma" book (this will not be on the November 19 test). I gave each student a Surah Ash-Sharh Week 1 worksheet, which I will link to this message.

Please feel free to email me (noorb2025@gmail.com) with any questions.

Assalamualaikum,

In class on November 5th, the students practiced reading, memorizing, and understanding the meaning of Quran, and reading Arabic.

The students practiced reading and memorizing all of Surah At-Teen on pages 111-112 of the "A Student's First Guide to Juz'Amma" book and understood the meanings of the ayas as well. The students also continued practicing reading Arabic in Lesson 2 of the Noorani Qa'idah "Master Reading the Quran" book.

I gave each student a copy of the Surah At-Teen Study Guide, with the ayas and their meanings. I will link the empty and filled out copy to this message. Students should practice and know this packet for our upcoming test. The next test will be on November 19th (in two weeks). The test will be on the memorization and meaning of Surah At-Teen and on Lessons 1-3 in the Noorani Qa'idah "Master Reading the Quran" book (we will go over lesson 3 next class).

The homework for next class is to complete the Surah At-Teen Week 2 Worksheet, which I will link to this message. If anyone has not turned in the Surah At-Teen Week 1 or Week 2 worksheets, please complete and turn them in by the day of the test. The worksheets are linked in last week's message. Don't forget to have a signature for each day of the week that the student completes this homework, so they can receive full credit!
