Assalamualaikum,

In class on October 12th, students started Surah At-Teen. They reviewed the background of the surah as well as ayas 1-4 and their meanings using the Surah At-Teen study guide.

Students that were absent for last week's test took the test this week. Any student who has not taken the test yet should take it as soon as possible. The test covers everything from the Surah Al-Qadr study guide (memorization of the surah, meanings of ayas, vocabulary, background of the surah), and Lessons 1-2 in the "Teach Your Child to Read Arabic" book. Students should know how to pronounce the Arabic letters, and how the letters look if they are at the beginning, middle, or end of a word.

Students should work on finishing lesson 2 in the "Teach Your Child to Read Arabic" book. Next week, we will start Lesson 3 Insha Allah.

Please feel free to email me (noorb2025@gmail.com) if you have trouble accessing any of the documents linked to my messages or if you have any questions!

Salaam parents,

Today we only had 2 students in the class and they took the Unit 1 exam and then we went through the salah and dua tracker charts to find how much they know based on their grade level.
Whatever they didn't know, inshAllah they will learn this year and all the students will be caught up by the end if the year, hopefully.

Next week, rest of the students will take the Unit 1 exam and we will continue with the book and salah training.

***Important note: for successful learning in Sunday school, it's important for the students to come prepared with their books, paper, pencils and any other things they'll need. We only have 1 hour to get through a lot of material every class and if students are unprepared, it is a distraction and wastes everyone's time. Thank you for your help in making sure we get through this year successsfully!!***

No homework this week for the students who already took the exam. If they haven't yet, please make sure the students come prepared for it next week.

We also learned the dua for asking Allah for forgiveness. We also reviewed Salah names, wudu steps etc.

Quizzes were graded and handed back today, 2 students got perfect scores and some students got to pick a prize from the prize bin for getting high scores.
We have our first exam next Sunday on Unit 1, Chapters 1-6. I recommend going through the end of the chapter questions with the kids. The exam will have multiple choice and fill in the blanks questions.
