Assalamualaikum,

In class on February 12, I finished testing the students on Surah Ash-Sharh on pages 100-101 of the "A Student's First Guide to Juz'Amma" book. About half the class took the test. New students that have not taken the test yet will take it next week.

I also allowed students to take the extra credit opportunity of pronouncing random words from Lessons 6 and 7 of the Noorani Qa'idah "Master Reading the Quran" book.

We started the memorization and meaning of the first three ayas of Surah Ad-Dhuha on pages 96-97 of the "A Student's First Guide to Juz'Amma" book. I linked a document to this message with the translations of the first three ayas in case some students were absent or forgot to take notes during class. The homework is to continue practicing the memorization and meanings of the first 3 ayas.

The homework is also to complete the Surah Ad-Dhuha Week 1 worksheet, which I gave to the students in class and also linked to this message.

Good job to those that participated in the Junior Jeopardy competition!

Missing work:

If not done yet, please complete the Surah Ash-Sharh Week 1 worksheet as soon as possible; I linked the worksheet to a previous message.

Students that have not yet completed the Surah At-Teen test or Lessons 1-5 test must do them as soon as possible!

Also, if your child has not yet turned in the Surah At-Teen Week 2 or Week 3 worksheets, please encourage your child to do these assignments and turn them in as soon as possible. The worksheets for Surah At-Teen Weeks 2 and 3 are linked in previous messages.
