     This Sunday we covered Unit B, Chapter 3, The Story of Prophet Nuh (A). We went through the textbook. We also talked about the months of Islam and the month of Rabbi ul Awwal. Aiza shared a Hadeeth with the class.

      We will have our first test from Unit A Chapter 1 and Chapter 4 and Unit B Chapters 1,2 &3 on 10/24/2021.  Students are encouraged to read the chapters thoroughly and go over the questions at the end of the chapter. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

We continue to review and practice the last 3 ayat of Surah Al-Hashr and reflecting on the meanings of the attributes of Allah SWT mentioned in these ayat. We would continue to memorize these 3 beautiful ayat along with learning the meanings of the names mentioned in these ayat in sha Allah.

Only few students were able to recite the 3 ayat from memory. Please practice with your students at home.

Kids have their Final Oral Test on Oct 31st. Please help them practice Surah A'laq for Oct 31st test day. Some of the students are not practicing at home. Please parents help the students to memorize. We have alhamdulillah went over the whole surah at class, we read aloud every ayats couple of times. They should already all know the ayats by now. 

Homework and Test: Please help your kids on their group presentations on surah Al A'laq. I showed them some examples of poster presentation ideas. I also told them to be very creative. Two students are assigned to work on their poster together. Individual poster presentation is also acceptable.

     This Sunday we covered Unit B Chapter 2, Prophets and Messengers. It is a term that is used interchangeably but how they are different. Students should continue memorizing the dua Laillaha Inna Anta Subhanaka Inni Kuntu Minazalemeen. The dua that Prophet Yunus made. The Arabic is attached. 

We will have our first test on October 24, 2021 from Unit A  Chapter 1 and Chapter 4 and Unit B Chapters 1,2&3. Make up test on October 31st. 

Homework: 

1. Did all Messengers receive Books? If not how many Messengers received books please give the names of the Messengers and the Books that they received. 
 

2. How many Prophets and Messengers are mentioned in the Quran altogether? How many were Prophets and how many were messengers? 
 

3. What is the difference between a Prophet and a Messenger?

We took a Practice Test on Surah Al 'Alaq. Alhamdulillah some students did excellent with memorization and some still learning the ayats from 1-14.
