Assalamualaikum,

In class on October 1st, the students practiced reading, memorizing, and understanding the meaning of Quran, and reading Arabic.

They played a review game about Surah Al-Qadr (on pages 123-124 of the "A Student's First Guide to Juz'Amma" book) to prepare for the test next class. They also practiced reading the Arabic alphabet in Lesson 1 of the Noorani Qa'idah "Master Reading the Quran" book.

The homework for next class is to study for the Surah Al-Qadr memorization and meaning test, which will be next class, on October 8th. Each student will recite the surah from memory, and then I will randomly pick two ayas from the surah that each student should say the meaning of. I will link a very helpful study guide to this message. If a student understands and knows this study guide, they will be prepared for the test.

Those that have not completed the Surah Al-Qadr Week 1 and Week 2 worksheets from previous classes should turn them in next class. The day of the test is the last chance for me to accept these papers from students, so make sure your child completes these worksheets and there is a parent/guardian signature for each day that the activity is completed, as detailed on the worksheets. I will link the two worksheets to this message for those that need another copy.

Along with studying for the test, the students should continue practicing Arabic reading in lesson 1, as we will move on to lesson 2 soon.

If students do not have either the "A Student's First Guide to Juz'Amma" book or the Noorani Qa'idah "Master Reading the Quran" book, please let the office know so that the student can get these books and be prepared for class.

Please feel free to email me (noorb2025@gmail.com) with any questions!

Please make sure your child is prepared to present on that date. If you have any questions/ concerns or there is a question of absence on that day assigned to them, please email me at sidra.anwar@hotmail.com.

every so often I intend to give pop quizzes in class to the children to make sure they are retaining the information we cover.

if your child misses a class, please make sure you check updates on thinkwave to see what has been covered and makeup for the absence so they do not fall behind.
