Quran level 5 parents, Assalamualikum Last Sunday we listened to the students reciting Surah Al-Alaq (1-16). We also explained the entire Surah, the main topics it includes and the learned lessons from the Surah. We listened to the students talking about the prophet Muhammad’s (SAW ) Syreeh as part of their homework. AA, My apologies for the late update. On 10/20 all the kids were given TEST 2.

We also covered lesson UNIT A CHAPTER 7 Allah Sees me all the time. This was the last chapter in UNIT A. 

There is no HW this week. I also mistakenly took a few workbooks home to check HW, so those will be returned to their owners on Sunday Insha Allah. Like I said no HW this week, we will meet for Seerah Olympics at the GYM at Marshall Elementary IA.

We had a good class this Sunday where we completed the chapter on messengers. We also discussed Zakat in Islam and how it could lead to a more equitable society. There was also a small impromptu quiz that was a tie between two teams.

Assalamu alaikum, This Sunday we had our test on Wudu and five daily prayers’ names. Most of the kids did very well. Some kids however still need to work on it and I will test them again next week. If you want to know how much your kid scored and want your child to improve his/her grade please email me and I can test them again. The idea is to help them practice and memorize the basics. Next week October 27 will be the last day for retesting as I have to submit the grades after that. Homework: Please make sure your child has covered everything from Unit A in the workbook. Assalamu alaikum, This Sunday we covered Unit A Chapter 2, Guidance for the Truth. We have now finished Unit A. Students were handed out worksheets in class today that is also their first test. Please encourage your kids to find answers from the book. This is the first test and to let them have a feel of how the tests will be I am sending the sheets home. Our test in the future will be in class. Homework: Students have to finish the worksheets given to them. Their test grade will be based on it. They Salah part will be done in class. They will be asked the five daily prayers’ names. And the steps of Wudu in order starting with Niyyah and Bismillahi...... Muslim 360: Last week a new pilot program was started in school. The theme for this month is Honesty. Each week they will be given something to do. If they finish the task they will get a sticker and after they have 3 stickers, they will pick a prize. This is optional and not a part of their homework.
