ASSALAM ALIKM DEAR PARENTS,

IN CLASS,we did practice of surah AL-ASR and write words meanings of surah al-asr,we also read story of surah AL-ASR and then ask question answer about the story.

FOR HOMEWORK,complete memorization of surah AL-ASR and words meaning(i will give them words so they have to just write meaning of these words)

3:bil haqq=the truth

i will take test on next sunday(13 jan 2019) please make sure they will attend the class.

(i will give them one project about islamic months name  that will be due on 27th of january, they need to write all islamic months name on card board and decorate it and draw symbol of the months like they can draw kabba as its a symbol of the month of zil-hajj and can draw a person who is offering namaz and making duaa etc etc and make it beautiful as they can,so we can show and tell infront of every one in assembly on 27th of january so practice to show in front of assembly as well).

Dear Quran 5 Parents,

Assalamu Alaikum: Today children recited verses 21 thru 24 of Surah Al-Hashr for HW#8. All of them did a wonderful job (Masha' Allah). Thank you for your support and encouragement. Please check their HW sheets for their grades.

Children will receive their Fall report cards next week. Let me know if there are any questions are concerns.

Children should start working on the next which is to learn and explain the meanings of one of the names of Allah's Beautiful names. The assigned names are listed below; please work with your children to learn the name and its meaning and try to find reference from Quran or Hadith for these names:

Dear Parents,

Today we covered Unit B, Chapter 5 (Hud (AS)). We also reviewed how to pray 2, 3, 4 rak'ah salahs, the difference between praying fard vs sunnah and weak vs strong sunnah (i.e., who do we do differently in these prayers). 

I handed out graded Test 2 to students. This is the salah related test and scores are lower than expected (class average is 76%). We'll emphasize these subjects in the coming weeks to make sure students are comfortable with the material.

Homework for Jan 13th: Read Unit B, Chapter 5 (Hud (AS)) and do exercises 1 and 2 from the worksheet book (page 44).

      Today I was unable to take class, Sister Mehak took the class. Unit C, Chapter 4 was covered in class. In Salah students worked on Thana, "Subhana Kallahumma.....". Parents are reqested to work with the kids at home. The project was due today and the kids did a great job on their projects. Students who brought their projects 2 points were added to their grade for their hardwork.

In December UNIT B chapters 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 have been covered. There was no HW given for winter break. 

However if your child did not take the Test 2 that was given on December 9th, they will be given the test on January 6th Insha allah. (Test 2 covered UNIT A chapters 4, 5, 6 and 7)

Today we had the second test of the semester. Test was about salah related topics. Before the test, we played a Kahoot game on subjects covered in the test. The following students won bonus points towards their test grades from Kahoot:

PROJECT announcement: Write down two paragraphs on did you ever have to tell the truth in a tough situation. Was it hard and what happened when you told truth? Why is telling truth the best choice?
