      Today I was unable to take class, Sister Mehak took the class. Unit C, Chapter 4 was covered in class. In Salah students worked on Thana, "Subhana Kallahumma.....". Parents are reqested to work with the kids at home. The project was due today and the kids did a great job on their projects. Students who brought their projects 2 points were added to their grade for their hardwork.

    Students have to do pages 43-44 from their worksheet books. Students must also memorize Thana. I am attaching a link to practice at home.

AA, The classes prior to winter break were taught by substitute teachers,Insha Allah I look forward to coming back in January 6th. 

In December UNIT B chapters 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 have been covered. There was no HW given for winter break. 

However if your child did not take the Test 2 that was given on December 9th, they will be given the test on January 6th Insha allah. (Test 2 covered UNIT A chapters 4, 5, 6 and 7)

Dear Quran 5 Parents,

Assalamu Alaikum: Today children recited verses 21 thru 23 of Surah Al-Hashr for HW#7. All of them had the verses memorized without any mistakes. Thank you for your support and encouragement.

I handed out the next HW (#8) which is to memorize verses 21 through 24 by Jan 6 (school is closed for next two Sundays). HW is also attached for your reference and all children were given a copy.

When we return on Jan 6, following children will "audition" for the story teller role for next skit which (the story of first revelation of Surah Al-Alaq in Cave Hira):

We covered the letter Seen and Sheen today. I told the students a little story about siblings and we played a game practicing the letters. Then, we had a pop quiz. I also let Amalie teach the class and she did a fantastic job mashaALLAH!

Today we had the second test of the semester. Test was about salah related topics. Before the test, we played a Kahoot game on subjects covered in the test. The following students won bonus points towards their test grades from Kahoot:

Assalamu Alaikum: Today I listened to children recite verses 21 & 22 of Surah Al-Hashr as part of HW#6. I am delighted that most children had worked hard to memorize and recited both verses without many mistakes. Thank you for your support and encouragement.

I handed out the next HW (#7) which is to memorize verses 21 through 23 by next Sunday (also attached with this message). Please continue to help your children.

Assalamu alaikum. Today we had the test. MashaAllah we have a big class so taking the test and the steps of Wudu took all the time. Project: Students have to do their project. They can pick any one of the five pillars of Islam. They have to write five facts about their selected Pillar of Islam, and add pictures or stickers as they wish. They can use A4 paper or construction paper or any other paper. The project is due on or before January 6. This week will be a good time to work on it since they do not have any homework. You can get ideas from Unit C, chapter 1. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

I was unable to teach this class. My classroom parent, Ayesha Ahmed was my substitute for the day. She was able to check previous homework and complete two chapters. The chapters covered on 12/2 was as stated on the syllabus.

The homework for this week is to study for the test next week. The chapters on the test will be as mentioned previously, UNIT A CHAPTERS 4, 5, 6 & 7

The test will have fill in the blank type questions and true or false type questions as well. The fill in the blank section will have a word bank for the kids to answer from. Please prepare your kids. 

Also, the sunday school will provide a qualification quiz to all the kids on December 9th. All kids are required to participate. Please find study materials on the MAP sunday school website and work with your kids.
