Salaam Parents,

This past Sunday, Sr. Tabassum covered the first hour of class and continued her tafsir lesson on Surah Kauf.

I want to apologize as there was a miscommunication on my part and I just learned tonight that the students were without a teacher for most of second period. I had planned to have coverage but I believe the email I sent on the 25th did not reach the person I asked and spoke to prior about the covering. I should have confirmed. I will make sure does not happen again.

Insha'Allah we will cover Chapter 2 in our book this coming week and I have already sent the worksheet last week to complete for class so please remind students that they can find it in their Google folder. If any trouble getting it, please reach out to me.

As mentioned earlier this project requires students to prepare a short essay on a famous Muslim American and present it in class. The famous Muslim American could be in the field of sports, politics, business, spiritual or other fields.

Essay could include who was/is the person, why was he/she selected, what did he/she accomplish and is there any lesson that we can learn from this individual's life.
