Today Hafeez Dheen was the substitute and he covered the lesson on Kindness. I am not requiring the kids to do homework for this lesson as its spring break and they should enjoy their time off :)

Kids also did the lesson on salah. The lesson was reviewing the benefits of salah. They should all have recieved a handout of a list of benefits of salah. We will continue to revist this list and make sure kids understand all the benefts. This list is from page 43 in the salah book, but many kids do not have this book. Which is why we made copies. Please make sure the kids keep this list in their folder and bring it to school every sunday.

Have a safe and enjoyable spring break Insha Allah

Assalamu Alaikum:

Children spent the class time cleaning up their presentations and skits and then rehearsing it to the class. I made changes to almost everyone's work and you should have them practice at home to you and to the family. This will make them more comfortable with the contents of the presentation material.

We are planning to do another practice session on April 8; please make sure your children bring the final write-up with them on a piece of paper (having it typed up would be better); they can also email it to me if that is easier. They should also memorize their lines.

Each presentation/skit is worth a test grade.

Best Regards,

Ishfaq Ahmad
