Salam, We had a wonderful play day at Marshal elementary. Kids had a fun time. I tried to listen Surah Alqariyah which I was assigning during the emergency break but unfortunately not many students have memorized. Please work with you kids and had them memorize Ayyah no. 1-9. Practice is the key for Quran memorization. Ask them to practice daily for 20 minutes. It is the only way they can learn. Jazzak Allah.

Dear Quran 5 Parents,

We met today at Marshall Elementary school Gym for Sunday school (as most of you probably know already). We only had 20 minutes for Quran class and I listened to all students recite surah Al-Alaq. Although some students need to practice more, we are going to start on the next assignment, which consists of last 4 verses of Surah Al-Hashr.

We are expecting Sunday school classes to resume in the MAP masjid from next week, Nov 18 (inshallah). Please look for a confirmation email from Sunday school. Please continue to have your children practice Surah Al-Alaq few times a week so they don't forget.

Best Regards,

Ishfaq

Dear Quran 5 Parents,

As you know we are not able to hold classes due to some work being done on MAP building. Meanwhile, children can easily forget Surah Al-Alaq unless they continue to practice. Please have your child recite (from memory) the entire surah Al-Alaq and email the recording to me at:

ishfaq.ahmad786@gmail.com

This will keep us on schedule.

AA Parents,

The school administration has asked the teachers to assign some school work for the kids to work on during the closure. Please try to work with your kids and do as much as you can with them to earn bonus points for the work assigned below.

1. We did the story about Prophet Nuh (A) in class on October 7th. Ask you kids what they rememebr and have them draw a picture of the story. You can revisit the lesson together again with them to help them recall the story.

2. I have attached a salah chart. Please make an effort to pray with them and complete the chart to the best of their ability.

Thank you.

Assalamu alaikum. As you all know that Sunday school is closed due to some maintenance issues. We are hoping that students can stay in touch with what they have been learning at Sunday school. Parents are requested to please review Salah with your kids at home. Also review the lessons we have already done so they are also prepared for their test. Since we are losing a lot of time and it will be hard to cover all that we had planned for this semester, parents are requested to start Unit C with their kids. Please read Chapter 1, The Five Pillars of Islam, with them. Also help the kids cover the questions on pages 39 and 40 from the workbook. If you have any questions feel free to contact me. Thank you.

to: Qur'an KG

Assalamu Alaikum Parents,

Hope you are all fine. Since Sunday school was closed the last two weeks, I don't want my students to forget what we are doing and I would like to give them homework to keep in touch. The last time we had class, I gave a test for Fatiha and a couple of students still need help. Please take the time to help them memorize because I won't be able to give them any more time. I will test them again on the Surah Al Fatiha next class then I will start a new surah(Ikhlas) inshaAllah. Also, please have your son/daughter practice writing each letters five times (Alif-Jeem). They can use Playdough to shape out the letter or use whatever crafts are present at home.

Thank you,

SIBEL YASAR

Dear Parents,

As we are taking a break from school due to ongoing facility issues, it is really important that we keep the students engaged. Towards that end, please spend some time with your child over the next week to make sure they read Unit B, Chapter 1 (Prophets of Islam, pages B2-B12). Then, do the lesson review at the end of the chapter (page B13) together to ensure your child is comfortable in answering those questions.

Homework for Nov 3: Read pages B2-B12 and answer questions on page B13. Students are not required to write the answers to these questions, just verbally describe them to their parents.
