For Quran we cover surat Annasr.Only 2 ayas are requied this week.Repeat and recite with your child daily even before going to bed even the previous suras. For Qawaed Norania we finish the rest of lesson 4.Practice reading. For Arabic students have sheets in their hands.Every letter has 3 pages.One for each letter with 3 haraka which is fatha,damma,kasra.Another sheet for the shape of letters in the beginning of a word,in the middle and in the end with examples.The third one has 2 examples for each letter just for colouring and reading. Homework letter Alif,baa and taa in the page of the 3 harakas just 3 lines only of each letter.

Dear Parents,

Today we talked about our term project, what the expectations are from the project and reasons for picking this particular project. Detailed rubric will be provided next week. Within the same context, we also talked about three essential components of Islam (faith, ibadaha, and muamalat) and why our characters/traits are essential part of being a muslim.

Then, we moved into Unit D, Chapter 2 (Nafl prayers) and briefly reviewed the concept of nafl prayers and their importance. Finally, we showed the proper positions of the prayer and how man and woman are supposed to perform those positions.

Homework for Feb 23rd: Prepare for senior jeopardy qaulification quiz. We'll use the score from this quiz as a bonus homework point for students.

Aa on Feb 9 the Lesson was UNIT E Chapter 4 I respect my teacher and Elders. HW is page 90 in the workbook. The kids who were absent on feb 2nd were given the test they missed. All tests will be returned to parents on feb 16th Insha Allah. Please check their backpacks. If your student were absent on feb 2nd we had also started working on a salah project. Please work on it at home. One side of the card stock should have the wudu page cut and pasted and the other side should have steps of salah cut and pasted. An example is attached. They also got a printout of what we say in Ruku and Sajda positions. Work on this at home. We will work on salah next week also Insha Allah

On Sunday 2/2 the kids took a test. Many students were absent, if you kiddo was absent please prepare them for a quick test next week. Please refer to the previous post for information about the test. 

On 2/2 we started working on a salah project. The kids will revise information about WUDU and steps of salah the next few weeks while working on this project Insha Allah. please practice with them at home as well to reinforce what we learn in class. 

We also had the muslim 360 CLASS becuase it was the first sunday of the month. This month's virtue of the month is FAIRNESS. Kids must work on activities related to fairness at home to earn prices. 

There is no HW this week in the work book. Thank  you
