ASA, Thank you for attending Sunday school this past weekend! It was wonderful to connect with you and share more about our class. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a one-on-one meeting to discuss your child's progress, please feel free to reach out.
The students did very well on their first presentations! They received constructive feedback from both myself and their classmates, focusing on areas for improvement while also celebrating their successes. This experiece will help them develop stonger presentaion skills moving forward.
I was saddened to see that some of the girls forgot the classroom rules so quickly. It's important for us to maintain a respectful and supportive environment. I would appreciate your help in reminding them of our expectations.
Best,
Jumana

They also were quizzed on the 6 Quranic words in the red table "Words to Know" on page 118 of Juz Amma book- الأكرم،القلم،عبداً, الهدى، التقوى، كاذبةٍ
I gave them a handout with the rules of Sujood al Tilawah (the prostration of recitation)- it should be coming home in their green folders.
2. TAJWEED: Makharij
continued review of letters م،ب،و،ف،ث،ذ،ظ،ت،د،ط ،ز،س،ص،ل،ن،ر, ج، ش، ي، ض

Homework:
For Those who haven't yet done so, continue to memorize Surah Al Alaq. Let them listen to their favorite Qari on YouTube to help with memorization, repitition and Tajweed.
I will be entering grades for this quarter soon, so if your student couldn't get credit this quarter we can try for next one in shaa Allah.
Once completed, or even if they know some verses, remind your children to continue reciting Surah Al Alaq in their daily salah so as not to forget this.
next week 10/27 is Seerah competition, (no classes) the school has sent you the materials and the details. Hope our class comes out strong in shaa Allah!
Surah presentations will continue 11/3 with
Aliza: An Naas

Salaam parents,
We started Unit B today with the first chapter about Shahadah. We also did the questions at the end of the chapter as a class together.
For salah class, we tried to memorize Dua al Istiftah (starting dua of salah) and Dua between sujood. Please spend some time reviewing these duas with them, put them on youtube and let them listen to it a lot as that will ensure they have it memorized.
No homework this week, I suggest studying the Seerah competition study materials all of this week so the students are prepared.

Assalamualaikum,
In class on October 20th, students practiced the memorization and meanings of ayas 4-6 in Surah At-Teen in the Surah At-Teen Study Guide. The blank and filled out versions of the Surah At-Teen Study Guide are linked to this message. Make sure students always bring the study guide to class since they should follow along and fill in the blanks as we learn new ayas each class. In the study guide that I passed out to the students on Sunday, I accidentally left out the transliteration of the ayas (the arabic pronounciation in english letters), so if any student needs the transliterations for extra help, the study guide copies linked to this message have this added on.
I gave the students the Surah At-Teen Week 1 Homework, which is linked to this message. Students should either listen to or say Surah At-Teen twice a day every day this week, and a parent/guardian signature is needed for each day that they do this so they can receive credit. Students can turn this in on the day of the Seerah competition or the class after that (Nov 3).
Students also completed a Seerah Competition study worksheet to prepare for the Seerah Competition next week. I will link the worksheet and answer key to this message. This worksheet is just for practice and not for a grade, so it does not need to be turned in. I will also link the Seerah Competition study materials to this message.
The homework is to complete the Surah At-Teen Worksheet, practice the memorization and meanings of the first 6 ayas of Surah At-Teen with the study guide, and practice reading from lessons 5-6. Also, make sure to study for the Seerah Competition! The Seerah Competition is on October 27th from 11 am - 1 pm at the Lakevue Athletic Club. The address is 124 Sylvan Spring Ln, Valencia, PA, 16059.
Next class (after the Seerah Competition), we will pick up with lessons 6-7 in the Noorani Qa'idah book and do ayas 7-8 of Surah At-Teen.
If students do not have either the "A Student's First Guide to Juz'Amma" book or the Noorani Qa'idah "Master Reading the Quran" book, please let the office know so that the student can get these books and be prepared for class.
Please feel free to email me (noorb2025@gmail.com) if you have trouble accessing any of the documents linked to my messages or if you have any questions!

Assalamu alaikum,
This Sunday we covered Unit 2, Chapter 5, Pre Islamic Arabia. We talked about what Makkah's state was before Islam. One thing we discussed was why is Makkah important to us. I always leave the class with something to remember. And I ask them to ask their parents about it or share if the parents ask you what did you learn in class today. So please ask them to help them retain.
Salah: Most of the students said the dua at the beginning of Salah. Some students still need to memorize it. Please help your child memorize it at home. This is the last week we are working on it. Next Sunday we are going to move onto the next lesson in Salah.
Homework:
Answer questions at the end of the chapter pages 48 and 49.
Memorize Thana (Subhana Kallahumma....). Practice Salah at home.

Assalamualaikum,
In class on October 13th, students practiced the memorization and meanings of the first 3 ayas of Surah At-Teen in the Surah At-Teen Study Guide.
Students also reviewed fatha, doma, and kasra, and then learned Tanween. They practiced Arabic reading in lessons 5-6 in the Noorani Qa'idah Book.
The homework is to practice the memorization and meanings of the first 3 ayas of Surah At-Teen using the study guide, and practice reading from lessons 5-6. Also, make sure to study for the Seerah Competition! The Seerah Competition is on October 27th from 11 am - 1 pm at the Lakevue Athletic Club.
