Assalamualaikum,

My name is Noor Ahmed, and I am the Quran teacher for Level 4 this year. I am excited to have a wonderful year with these students In Shaa Allah!

In class on September 17th, the students practiced reading, memorizing, and understanding the meaning of Quran, and reading Arabic.

They learned and practiced the first three ayas of of Surah Al-Qadr on pages 123-124 of the "A Student's First Guide to Juz'Amma" book. They also practiced reading the Arabic alphabet in Lesson 1 of the Noorani Qa'idah "Master Reading the Quran" book.

The homework is to complete the Surah Al-Qadr Week 1 worksheet that I gave to the students in class, which I will link to this message. The students should continue practicing Arabic reading in lesson 1 and keep practicing and trying to memorize the first three ayas of Surah Al-Qadr. The students should also understand and practice the meanings of these three ayas.

If students do not have either the "A Student's First Guide to Juz'Amma" book or the Noorani Qa'idah "Master Reading the Quran" book, please let the office know so that the student can get these books and be prepared for class.

Please feel free to email me (noorb2025@gmail.com) with any questions!

Dear Parents,

Masha Allah many students revised Ayat ul Kursi well. We will continue to recite in class until we complete this Ayah in Shaa Allah.

We discussed why this Ayah is the best in the Quran and when to recite in our everyday lives. I provided the students a handout that has this information included as well as a summary of the Ayah. I am emphasizing to them that they should have an idea about what they are reciting. I am attaching my handout here as an attachment as well.

We also started the first 5 ayah of Surah Al Alaq- the first ever verses revealed to Prophet Muhammad SAW. We learned the setting of this revelation in the cave Hira. I discussed the summary of these verses and we recited in class.

I would suggest playing Ayat ul Kursi and Surah Al Alaq (first 5 verses) repetitively at home or when traveling in the car with your children as this would greatly expedite their learning. You can chose any reciter of your choice, such as Mashary.

Jazak Allah
