Assalamualaikum,

In class on March 5th, we practiced and performed our skit about being caring/compassionate at the assembly. Good job to all the kids that participated! I am proud of everyone. 

 We did not do any new ayas, so the homework is still to continue practicing the memorization and meanings of the first EIGHT ayas of Surah Ad-Dhuha on pages 96-97 of the "A Student's First Guide to Juz'Amma" book. I linked a study guide to this message with the translations of the first eight ayas in case some students were absent or forgot to take notes during previous classes. We only have 3 more ayas, so the test will be in a few weeks from now. To make sure the students are not overwhelmed, please encourage them to start now if they haven't in memorizing the surah and the meanings of the ayas.

If you want to get ahead: next week, we will continue Surah Ad-Dhuha and practice Lessons 7 and 8 of the Noorani Qa'idah "Master Reading the Quran" book.

If not done yet, please encourage your child to complete the Surah Ad-Dhuha Week 1 and Week 2 worksheets, which are linked to previous messages.

Missing work:

we reveiw as usual our previous suras.Still some students do not recite Almasad and Annasr yet.Reveiw repeat and help your child in memorization everyday.We began surat Annas.It is one of the repeated suras from level kg.Next time I will ask students to recite first 3 ayat.

Arabic:

homework is lesson ه .We will practice how to write it more next time on our white board.

Arabic project:Some active students gave me their projects and make their show and tell.Still some did not yet.

Again this is our annual Arabic project and it has marks.I will hang them on the wall in sha Allah.For the absent students:choose any 5 words and give for each an Arabic word as an example with a draw.You can print draw color or cut pictures from newspapers.

we have a contest between classes to decorate doors.If your kid want to share color make hand crafts or buy somthing for that.Be creative the winner class will win ice cream party.Judjing will be March 19th. I attached the flyer above

So, don't worry if your child was absent so their name isn't on the character list. I have linked the script and character list to this message for the students to practice/become familiar with for the assembly.

we recite and repeat as usual.Today still some students did nit recite surat Alkawthar.Ma sha Allah some recited it and put stickers in their Quran chart.Some students still need to finish surat Annasr and Almassad.Help your kid by reciting repeating and play video for whoever they prefer but with repetition will help.You can do it in salat Algamaa at home and 15 m everyday before sleeping.
Next time in sha Allah will be a new sura.

The topic for the presentation is on the learnings of ayats 285 or 286, like what are we learning from the ayats, the pilliars of Iman, the duas, etc.

In class on February 19, we continued the memorization and meaning of the first FIVE ayas of Surah Ad-Dhuha on pages 96-97 of the "A Student's First Guide to Juz'Amma" book. I linked a document to this message with the translations of the first five ayas in case some students were absent or forgot to take notes during class. The homework is to continue practicing the memorization and meanings of the first 5 ayas. 

The homework is also to complete the Surah Ad-Dhuha Week 2 worksheet (also complete week 1 if not done yet), which I gave to the students in class and also linked to this message. 

I also talked to the kids about doing a skit in the assembly for the theme ‘caring/compassion.’ I told the students that we will present during the assembly on Sunday, February 26, the coming Sunday, but Br. Hafiz recently informed me that our date to present has changed to the next Sunday, March 5th, so we have some more time to prepare. Last class, we discussed and agreed on the skit we would like to do. I will make a script and print out a copy for each student to give next class. Dear parents:

In sha Allah we have a lot of things to do and some events are coming:

in sha Allah around the middle of March our class will present the assembly before salat Azuhr and you are welcome to come early and watch.

the end of our school will be around the middle of May so hurry up help your kid and catch any missing writing memorizing suras or reading qawaeed norania.This year is like a base for them and I do not want any of them to be behind.

This is the time for our annual project.There is not an Arabic homework this week and we are in a long weekend as tomorrow is the president day so take the advantage to do it.

HOMEWORK is our annual Arabic project:choose different 5 Arabic letters and give for each one Arabic word.Write draw colour print or even cut from newspapers.Any ideas will work.There are marks for this project and we will hang them on the wall.Each student have to prounouce his example like show and tell the class.
For parents:

practice memorizing Quran with your child 15 m or more each night.Some students are absent a lot so they will lose a lot.Some did not recite to me all our suras still Almassad and Alnasr.

In Quran:

we reveiw some suras and Attashahud.We talk about the general meaning of our new suras which is Alkawthar and practice it.
