Assalamualikum,

This week we finished chapter 1 - Tawheed and Shirk. We also finished homework in the class.

to: Qur'an 6

Assalamu Alaikum dear parents,

Over the next three weeks, students will be learning about the lives of three important prophets mentioned in Surah Al-Fajr and how their people transgressed:
-This week: Prophet Hūd (AS) and the people of ʿĀd
-Next week (in shaa Allah): Prophet Ṣāliḥ (AS) and the people of Thamūd
-Following week: Prophet Mūsā (AS) and Pharaoh (Fir‘awn)

We watched a short video on Prophet Hūd (AS) and discussed how the powerful nation of ʿĀd rejected his message and were destroyed due to their arrogance.

 * Homework for next Sunday:
Memorize and write Surah Al-Fajr, verses 6–8
Practice Norani Qaida – Lesson 2

 * Parent Signature Needed:
We had a pop quiz on Arabic letters. Students who scored below 7 need their parents to review the paper and bring it back signed next week.
I highly recommend signing up your child for the 10 AM Arabic class. For more info contact sister Rasha Alramahi.

JAK! :)

Salaam parents,
Today we read “chapter 3: What does Allah do?” and answered the questions at the end. Students got to do some coloring afterwards, ask them to show you their artwork in their red books.
We also reviewed the dua for before sleeping and what we say before and after eating.

**Homework:
1) Read “Chapter 4: What does Allah not do?” and answer questions at the end on pages 44-45.
2) Also, study for wudu steps quiz next Sunday on September 28th. It’s going to be the same worksheet they did last week but they’ll do it on their own for the quiz. So please help them study it. **

Assalamualaikum,

In class on September 21st, students practiced ayas 4-5 of Surah Al-Qadr and they finished filling out the study guide.

Students also finished Lesson 1 and completed half of Lesson 2 in the "Teach Your Child to Read Arabic" book. We will finish the rest of Lesson 2 next class.

Students that have not completed the Surah Al-Qadr Week 1 Homework Worksheet should do so as soon as possible (linked to this message). This is intended so that they can visit the Quran every day and naturally become more familiar with the surah.

Please feel free to email me (noorb2025@gmail.com) if you have trouble accessing any of the documents linked to my messages or if you have any questions!

Welcome to Level 4 Quran! In class on September 14th, students practiced ayas 1-3 of Surah Al-Qadr. I gave students a study guide (linked to this message) with the ayas, their meanings, vocabulary words, and the background behind the surah. The students will fill out this study guide each week as they learn more ayas.

Assalamualikum,

Welcome to an exciting new school year!

I’m thrilled to have your child in level 5, and I look forward to an incredible year of learning and growth.

We will be covering weekend learning series Islamic studies, books have been provided by the school.

Salah and memorization of small duas are also part of our curriculum.

This first week, students were assessed on why and how to perform Salah. This gives us an idea of how much they know and how much we need to teach them to perform Salah- a mandatory prayer for Muslims.

Next week we will assess kids on the small duas which are also part of the curriculum. Please check the website and go through them as we have a two weeks break. We will be reinforcing them throughout the year as our curriculum.

Mostly we will follow the lesson plan that is on the school website.

With your support, I’m confident we can make this a rewarding and successful year for every child.

Communication and collaboration between home and school are key. I encourage you to reach out with any questions, concerns, or insights you have throughout the year. Together, we can create a positive and enriching learning environment.

Warm regards

Zunaira Adeel.

Assalamu Alaikum,

We had a great first day getting to know each other, going over dress code and rules, and practicing writing names in Arabic. I gave out the booklets we’ll be using all year, so kids just need to bring their yellow folder, whiteboard, notebook, and Norani Qaideh book each Sunday for Quran class.

We also talked about this semester’s fun project, “My Muslim Super Power,” due December 21.

Quick reminder: Some kids don’t know their parents’ phone numbers yet — please help them learn it!

If your child has any allergies or anything else I should know, please send me a private message.

Our next class is September 14. Can’t wait to see everyone again!

Salaam parents,

It was nice to meet your children on the first day and I'm excited to continue this year with them.
Today we learned how to say salaam and the response to it and what to say before and after wudu. Next, we worked on "chapter 1: Allah SWT, our creator" and answered the questions at the end.

I sent home 3 things today: parent contact form, a student questionnaire, and a little paper with shahada on it.

Homework:
1) Please fill out the parent contact form next time we have Sunday school class, this is very important as I will be making a whatsapp group for class updated with this information.

2) Help your children finish the questionnaire and send it back next time so I can learn more about them.

3) Make sure all students have the shahada memorized (as that is what we say after wudu) before we get into the wudu steps in the next few weeks.

Assalamualaikum,

For the students that have memorized all of Level 4 surahs and the surahs from previous levels (shown in the picture), they can get an extra prize during graduation. Since I did not have enough time during class to test the students on these surahs, you can send me voice recordings on Whatsapp (904-646-8871) of your child saying these surahs from memorization so they can receive extra recognition during graduation. Please do this by Friday night. Jazak Allah Khair!!
