In class on November 13th, the students practiced reading Arabic and they practiced reading, memorizing, and understanding the meaning of Quran.

We reviewed and practiced reading, memorizing, and understanding the meaning of the first FOUR ayas of Surah At-Teen on pages 111-112 of the "A Student's First Guide to Juz'Amma" book. We dove deep into these ayas in the November 6th class, so don't forget to review these ayas with your child if your child was absent on this day. The students should start becoming familiar with and memorizing this surah (a memorization and meaning test is coming in a few weeks).

We also did a fun drawing activity for Surah Al-Qadr that will be shown to the parents during Open House, which is next week.

The homework is to continue practicing reading Arabic and knowing the harakat in Lesson 4 of Noorani Qa'idah "Master Reading the Quran" book (which was covered the previous class), complete the worksheet talked about below, and become more familiar with/start memorizing Surah At-Teen.

I gave each student a Surah At-Teen WEEK 2 worksheet in the November 6th class where they should listen to a Quran reciter (can be through YouTube for example) saying Surah At-Teen twice a day every day this week, with a parent/guardian signature for each day to verify. If you have not practiced this with your child yet, please start as soon as possible since the point of this worksheet is to encourage students to review this surah every day. This activity will make it much easier for the students to memorize and later recite the surah for a test since it will become more familiar.

The worksheet is linked to last class (November 6th)'s message.
