In the last class we introduced two versions of Duaa AlQunot and asked the students to memorize one of them. For the next Sunday March 22nd Please everyone sends two three to five lines explanation  about the nice meaning of Duaa AlQunot from what they read and memorised and send it by email.  Also, kindly please let them recite the Duaa for either of their parents and send a note to me by email saying that they accomplished their task.

       I hope everyone is doing well. With the Sunday school closure due to the current situation, we are hoping parents will work with their children for one hour each week for Islamic studies. Parents can read Unit D, Chapter 4, Beautiful Makkah The Holiest City, with your kids. Please talk to them about the significance of this holy city for us. After reading the chapter, students can answer the questions on page 57 from the workbook. 
       Please continue working on Salah at home. Help them revise and retain the steps of Wudu by helping them make Wudu with you. Ask them the five daily prayers names. Dear Parents,

Today we continued our discussion on jama'ah prayers. We talked about silent and loud prayers and what to recite when we are praying behind an imam. Then we covered the subject of masbooq. That is, how to complete a jama'ah prayer when you join the jama'ah late. I've handed out a summary sheet that explains how to do this. It is also attached to this update. Please go over it with your child and make sure he/she is comfortable with it. We'll have a quiz on this next week.

      This Sunday we covered Unit D, Chapter 3 Eid Mubarak. We discussed how Muslims celebrate two Eids every year. 
       In Salah we revised Salah and we also started memorizing the dua after rising from Ruku, "Samee Allahu leeman hameeda Rabbana walakal hamd". 
 

Homework: 

        Students have to cover pages 52, 53 and 55 from the workbook. Students also have to memorize the dua after Ruku.

Hope this email finding you all in great shape and wellness. Below is a quick brief on today's Quran 4 class for your kind information.

Right now we are studying Surah AlA'la, and as you know this surah is long surah comparing with the other we had so far. It is important to keep track with you children in memorizing the Ayahs. I have couple of student who are not doing the homework for two consecutive weeks, and next week they have to do all 9 Ayahs (3 homeworks).
 

Please do check the homework promptly, so the number of Ayahs for homework don’t build up.
