Dear parents, Assalamualikum Today we listened to the students reciting Surah Al-Alaq (1-19). We introduced Surah Al-Hashir verses (21-24) and explained the stopping signs in the verses. We also introduced that we can learn about Allah by his names. As part of evaluation next week students have to talk about the lessons they learned from Surah Al-Alaq. please let them write down what they learned from the parts of Surah that I assigned for each them to write about. Dear Parents,

Today we attended the Seerah Olympics at Marshall Elementary Gym. We briefly discussed Syriah (our designated country).

Test 1: Our first test of the semester was originally scheduled for today, but due to Seerah Olympics we had to reschedule it for next week. We'll have the first test on Sunday, Nov 3rd. Attached is the study guide for this test. Please make sure your child goes through every item in the study guide and gets ready for the test. We'll also play a Kahoot game before the test. If your child has a smart phone or table, feel free to send it to school.

Homework: Study for the test. Since I was absent from school for the last 3 weeks, students were unable to turn in their missing homework. So far we had 3 homework in the semester. If your child has any missing homework, he/she can turn them in next week. I went over the missing homework for each child today in the class. So, they already know which homework they are missing.

Quran level 5 parents, Assalamualikum Last Sunday we listened to the students reciting Surah Al-Alaq (1-16). We also explained the entire Surah, the main topics it includes and the learned lessons from the Surah. We listened to the students talking about the prophet Muhammad’s (SAW ) Syreeh as part of their homework. AA, My apologies for the late update. On 10/20 all the kids were given TEST 2.

We also covered lesson UNIT A CHAPTER 7 Allah Sees me all the time. This was the last chapter in UNIT A. 

There is no HW this week. I also mistakenly took a few workbooks home to check HW, so those will be returned to their owners on Sunday Insha Allah. Like I said no HW this week, we will meet for Seerah Olympics at the GYM at Marshall Elementary IA.

Assalamu alaikum, This Sunday we had our test on Wudu and five daily prayers’ names. Most of the kids did very well. Some kids however still need to work on it and I will test them again next week. If you want to know how much your kid scored and want your child to improve his/her grade please email me and I can test them again. The idea is to help them practice and memorize the basics. Next week October 27 will be the last day for retesting as I have to submit the grades after that. Homework: Please make sure your child has covered everything from Unit A in the workbook.
