In class on October 11th, students learned the first 3 ayas of Surah At-Teen with the Surah At-Teen study guide. Students should keep practicing these ayas and their meanings at home. 

Students that have not yet submitted the Surah Al-Qadr Homework worksheet (same worksheet from before; I only need students to complete it once) can submit it this Sunday to receive credit. It is a small half sheet, so the students should take care to not lose the worksheet. 

Next class, I will give the students a Surah At-Teen Homework worksheet, InshaAllah.

In class on October 11th, students reviewed and practiced saying our Arabic dialogue vocabulary. Students also learned about Madd Laazim through the packet attached to this message. The last page of the packet has an exercise; students can either finish the packet at home or I will give them around 10 minutes at the beginning of next class to finish.

Yesterday, the class successfully completed our first test, and students performed very well. Following the assessment, we introduced Unit 1, Chapter 5 and began reading the new material. Due to time constraints, we were unable to complete the end-of-chapter questions during class; however, we will review and work through these questions next week. Please note that there is no homework assigned for this chapter at this time.

For Salah and dua: plz help your child memorize the dua before and after sleeping

My name is teacher Ban, I am a substitute for teacher Fayiza, for this month. 
Last Sunday: the students took a written test, completed the learning of Surah al-alaq. They also went over the vocabulary of the surah, and learned the meaning of Allah names: 
Al-Hadi (الْهَادِي ): The Guide
Allah guides us to the right path and helps us know what is good and what is wrong.
Al-Same’e:(السَّمِيع ): The All-Hearing
Allah hears everything. He hears our words, our prayers, and even the quietest whispers.
Al-Baseer:(الْبَصِير ): The All-Seeing
Allah sees everything. Nothing is hidden from Him, whether it is far away, nearby, or done in secret.

Homework: 
Encourage your son/daughter to listen daily at least 3 times to the short video of Surah Al-Alaq, they have a memorization test this Sunday. 
The students who could not make it to school yesterday can take the written test with the memorization this Sunday, in Shaa Allah.

In class on October 4th, Sister Sidra was the substitute for my class. Students took the Surah Al-Qadr test, which had verbal and written parts. Many students did not know the dua for Laylatul Qadr, so they should practice this dua for homework and I will ask them this Sunday InshaAllah. Any student that has not taken the test yet shoud take it this Sunday. 

Students that have not yet submitted the Surah Al-Qadr Homework worksheet can submit it this Sunday to receive credit. It is a small half sheet, so the students should take care to not lose the worksheet. 

We will start Surah At-Teen next class, InshaAllah.

In class on October 4th, students had a substitute and reviewed and practiced our Arabic dialogue vocabulary. They also learned new Arabic words such as "open the door" and "close the door." They practiced handwriting in Arabic by writing ayas from the Quran. I attached the packet that the children completed in class with the vocabulary and writing practice. Students that did not finish this packet in class should finish it by this Sunday.

This Sunday, InshaAllah I will also collect the students' homework from last week, which is from the Arabic Letters and Words Practice Packet. They should have the first 4 pages (after the example page) completed. These 4 pages are: page alif baa taa, page thaa jeem haa, page khaa daal thaal, and page raa zai. I will grade the first 4 pages and give them back so students can learn from their mistakes before they complete the rest of the pages.

It is important that students continue practicing the Arabic vocabulary so they can be comfortable with saying these words and their meanings.

I hope you are doing well.
This Sunday, we have a test in Arabic and in Quran.
I am sending a study guide for you to print and encourage your kids to practice on it. There is a verbal part that might need a little help from you, and the kids will be perfectly fine at class.
For the *Quran test*: practice with them reciting Surah Al-Fatiha, and encourage them to listen to the Shaikh every day. They need to know the general meaning of the Surah: it’s basically 2 part: first one , I thank Allah, the most merciful and kind to me, the second part is: asking Allah to help me be a good Muslim so that I go to jannah. I need them to know the meaning of Al-Rahman and Al-Raheem: the most merciful. ( we will continue practicing this Surah for another couple classes).
For *Arabic test*: I am sending a study guide to practice.
*NOTE*: if your child is new to class, or was absent , there is no problem. Just encourage them to do their best and support them, and they will be fine in both tests .

I hope everyone is doing well!

Last class the kids learned the letters ج ح خ in different forms in the word( beginning, middle, and end position). They practiced writing in class and did verbal communication together with the vocabulary review.
I’m so proud with the effort they are putting in, and the exceptional *ATTENDANCE* which is beneficial in learning and communication.

This Sunday we have a *TEST*. I am sending you a study guide. Please print more than a copy and have your son/ daughter practice at least 3 times before coming to school. The first page is a *VERBAL* section and might need some help from you.
Many of the kids have attended my class last year, they know that if they prepare the study guide well, then they will be relaxed and confident in the test, and they will have excellent grades. 
Please support them in preparation, and send them happy to class on Sunday. They will get candy and a squishy after the test, which they love.
*Note*: I have 3 students: Myra, Amal, Taha: they joined KG this year, I have a different Test study guide for them, which I am sending on the Quran KG WhatsApp group.

We covered Unit 1 lesson 4

Students learned that Allah is unique, perfect, and completely different from humans, focusing on what Allah does not need to do (like sleeping, eating, tiring etc.)

Please note that the students will have an Islamic Studies test next week.

Last Sunday:
We continued our study and memorization of Surah Al-Fatiha. We repeat it several times at the beginning ( I say ayah by ayah and they repeat). This Sunday we are focusing on:
 Iyyaka naabudu wa iyyaka nastaiin; ايّاكَ نعبدُ و ايّاكَ نستعين . 
Ihdina assirata almustakeem: إهدِنا الصراطَ المستقيم

Then they listen to the sheikh several times. Then I discuss the general meaning of the Surah again so they remember, and focus on alrahman الرحمن, alraheem الرحيم: the most merciful, very kind to us. 
The Surah general meaning : the Surah consists of two parts: *first* I thank Allah, the GOD of every one, the most merciful, and the one who decides at the end who goes to jannah or not. *second* I ask Allah to make me a good Muslim, a Muslim who pray, don’t lie, don’t steal, kind with others, so that I go to jannah( and I explain what they can have and see in jannah).
I’m trying to make them feel at this age the love for Allah who is the reason that they have loving parents and reasonable life. I’m trying to shift their thinking from only thinking about mom and dad as the source of good things to the thinking of Allah who is putting that love in their heart. I appreciate if you enforce that at home.

In class on September 20th, students reviewed the Arabic words we learned last week:

I also gave students a guide that shows how each Arabic letter appears in the beginning, middle, and end of a word. Students used this guide to complete a packet where they practice joining Arabic letters into words and separating words into letters. They completed the first 2 pages (page 1: alif baa taa, page 2: thaa jeem haa) of the packet in class.

Students should bring the guide and packet to class every week since we will be using them for classwork.

Homework: Students that have not yet finished the first 2 pages should do it for homework. Students that completed the first 2 pages can complete the 3rd page (khaa daal thaal) for homework.

** Not every student received a guide and packet since we had new students. I will attach the documents to this message and print more copies to give to students next class.

Assalamu alaykum dear parents, I hope everyone is doing well.

Last Sunday, we introduced ourselves, started our Quran class by realizing that Quran is the word of Allah, the best thing in our life. We also talked about how important is the SALAT( namaz) in our life and that guided us to start by Surah Al-Fatiha. (We are finishing Surah Al-Fatiha then we will do Surah Al-Ikhlas).
We learned that Surah Al-Fatiha consists of *two parts*: first part is thanking Allah, the most merciful, and god of everyone, the owner of day of judgment. The second part is asking Allah to help me be a good Muslim.

In the following classes, we are going to enforce these information and listen several times to the recitation.

As a homework, I encourage you to let your kids listen to the Surah from sheikh, so the verbal pronunciation will be better, and remind them with the general meaning of the Surah.

Note: in the backpack, I left 2 pages for Arabic letters as a homework

Last Sunday, we had a quick review on the material we learned in the previous week. Only 3 students handed me the homework pages I uploaded here on this chat.
We worked on writing some letters in different formats, we also worked in our classroom-work notebook.
Almost all the students seemed familiar with the Arabic letters which makes our task easier in trying to build on what they know.

*HOMEWORK* 
1. I am uploading pages (23-27)from their book for Arabic:(TEACH YOUR CHILD TO READ ARABIC). You *DO NOT* have to print them but guide your kids to open the book on the required pages and WORK DIRECTLY IN THE BOOK. This is a *GRADED HOMEWORK*. 
2. ⁠For page 20 , there are 6 vocabulary words that they have to know by heart, each word is connected to a letter, and a picture, they need to be familiar with them as I am giving them a (verbal quiz )on these 6 words this Sunday : أ-Asad ب:Battah. ت: Taaj. ث: Thoom. ج: Jazar   
ح: Haafilah

Please send your child with the Arabic book to class every Sunday.

Names of Allah الهادى what are the different ways of guidance Allah swt sent us. 

Assalamualaikum,

I am so excited to be your child's Quran teacher for this year InshaAllah! This year, we will go over Surah Al-Qadr, Surah At-Teen, Surah Ash-Sharh, Surah Ad-Dhuha, and Surah Al-Bayyinah. For each surah, along with memorization, students will learn the background and meaning of the surah, InshaAllah. We will also go over some names of Allah SWT and some duas.

In class on September 13th, students learned the background of Surah Al-Qadr and learned the recitation and meanings of ayas 1-3. I have attached a copy of the Surah Al-Qadr study guide along with the answer key. Students will keep this study guide as we learn the surah and use it to study whenever the test comes. 

There is no formal homework this week, but students should practice ayas 1-3 in the study guide. They will receive a treat next class if they can recite ayas 1-3 or know the meanings of the ayas.

I am so excited to be your child's Arabic teacher for this year! By the end of this year, InshaAllah students will be able to read and write Arabic well and know foundational vocabulary words. 

In the first class, we did introductions and practiced speaking simple phrases in Arabic. Students learned how to read and say "Hello," "What is your name," and "My name is ______" in Arabic. Since it was the first class, there is no formal homework for this week.

Next class, we will focus more on reading from the Quran so I can see what topics students struggle with that we can review. I also noticed that some students may know how to read but have trouble combining letters to make words due to the different forms of each Arabic letter, so we will practice this skill too.
